Ever wonder why President Barack Obama is so vocal about backing the campaign for the UK to stay in Europe? Easy, it's because the European Union (EU) is just a "dry run" at a global government, according to Britain's most renowned conspiracy theorist, David Icke.
One might be forgiven for thinking that Obama is the emperor of the world after the U.S. President pretty much told Britain that it should stay in the EU or else.
For the leader of a country as proudly and defiantly defiant as America to suggest that Britain should continue sharing its sovereignty with others is a tiny bit hypocritical.
The United States would never accept the rulings of a court or adopt a policy formed by an unelected elite based in say, Canada or Mexico, for example. So why is Obama so keen for Britain to remain shackled to the EU?
Obama said that Britain is stronger and richer as a member of the EU than she would be standing by herself in isolation.
Yet wouldn't the £13 billion the U.K. pays out each year to remain a member of this special club, make her a lot stronger if she kept it in her own back pocket?
The truth is it suits Obama to have Britain in the EU because it acts as a bridge for Washington to negotiate with countries less disposed and less affable to American interests.
"The European Union doesn't moderate British influence – it magnifies it. A strong Europe is not a threat to Britain's global leadership; it enhances Britain's global leadership. The United States sees how your powerful voice in Europe ensures that Europe takes a strong stance in the world, and keeps the EU open, outward looking, and closely linked to its allies on the other side of the Atlantic. So the U.S. and the world need your outsized influence to continue – including within Europe."Yet telling the people of another nation how to vote because it's in your own country's interests is hardly the stuff dreams of democracy are made of.The great and the good? According to conspiracy theorist David Icke, there's a far more sinister reason why the likes of Barack Obama and David Cameron are so keen for Britain to stay welded to the EU, and that's because the European Union will eventually merge with the U.S. to create an all-powerful, all-conquering world leadership.
The Express reports that on a video posted on his website, which claims to "expose the reality of the dreamworld," Icke lays bare the true nightmare behind the EU and Obama's Machiavellian intent.
"Since 20 or 25 years ago, I have been exposing what the EU is, and what it is wanting to do. And what it is wanting to do is unfolded step by step.Icke explains that the EU, which is run by "faceless cabals," is the first part of the jigsaw of a "global structure" designed to rule without consequence or thought for the electorate.
"We are being taken step by step to a global centralized society based on a world government, a World Central Bank, controlling all finance, and a world army imposing the will of the world government.
"This is what Nato is - a continually expanding Nato, which operates outside its designated area.
"I said in my books Nato would do this back in the 1990s - it is all over the bloody place now. A world currency will be cashless, there will be no cash. Look around you at what is happening in terms of cashless documentation."
"The EU is the first along the way to the goal. Then there will be the U.S. union and the African union."Icke, who is a firm supporter of the Brexit campaign, has urged everyone to wake up and see the EU for what it is: "a straight-jacket fascist communist bureaucratic centralized super state."
"What I suggest the Labour Party and Jeremy Corbyn think on is whether an EU run by dark-suited fat cat bureaucrats, in league with dark-suit fat cat heads of giant corporations, in league with manipulative powers that actually run the EU, is whether they will have any care whatsoever about the people the Labour Party suppose to represent. And as for Obama's interference in which way Britain should vote, Icke is having none of it and calls the referendum a very simple choice, which the U.S. President obviously fails to comprehend.
"They are the target of these people. Why do you think austerity is everywhere?
"And you think the EU is a way out of it? It is a way further into it.
"Wake up Labour Party. Wake up Jeremy Corbyn and see what's going on, what the real agenda is."David Icke meets a raving loony, or as we know them, a politician. (Photo by Christopher Furlong/Getty Images)

"It's a choice between that and having laws that affect the people of Britain made within the land of Britain.
"Dear that's hard isn't it - which way shall I go?"
