Emily Maynard Gushes About Third Pregnancy: Says People Care More About Nail Polish?
Bachelorette star Emily Maynard didn’t find love when she appeared on the show. At first, she got engaged to Brad Womack, but the two quickly split after realizing that they were just way too different. During her second run, Emily got engaged to Jef Holm, and many expected her to stay engaged to him, as he was ready to settle down and have children. However, there was a love triangle between Jef, Arie Luyendyk Jr., and Maynard, as Arie continued to pursue Maynard after the show ended. But after breaking off her engagement to Jef and distancing herself from the public eye, Maynard found love right at home in Charlotte.
According to a new Instagram post, Bachelorette star Emily Maynard is now revealing that she’s shocked that she’s pregnant once again. Emily quickly got pregnant with her second child, a son, after meeting her husband, Tyler Johnson, but she may not have expected the third pregnancy. In a few months, Emily will be the mother of three children, but this pregnancy is different to her — she wants it to be special.
“I still can’t believe I’m pregnant AGAIN. We had our big ultrasound yesterday and somehow I convinced my husband to let it be a surprise! Anyone else wait to find out boy/girl? Any guesses? {nail polish opi lets be friends bc let’s be honest that’s all anyone is going to care about},” Bachelorette star Emily Maynard revealed on Instagram, sharing a picture of her ultrasound.
It sounds like Emily wants this pregnancy to be a surprise for herself and her husband. They may have learned the gender of the baby during their last pregnancy, and she gave birth to a baby boy. Emily’s daughter, Ricki, is super excited about becoming a big sister once again, as she loves being a big sister to their son. And it sounds like many of her followers understand why they have decided to wait for the big surprise in the delivery room.
“We waited to find out!! So much excitement in the delivery room, even the nurses who weren’t working with us were popping in to see if we had a baby yet and what it was! Seriously the best surprise there is!!” one person wrote to Maynard’s picture, while another added, “We have 3 kids and never found out their gender- it’s so fun! I guess a boy for you :)”
Of course, Emily Maynard‘s journey hasn’t been an easy one. Maynard wasn’t planning on becoming a loved reality star when she met Ricky Maynard, a race car driver. He suddenly died in a plane crash and just a few days later, Emily learned that she was pregnant with her daughter, Ricki. She spent years trying to figure out the single-mother situation, and decided to try the Bachelor as a way to find love. Emily has written a book about her journey from being a single mother to a reality star — and now a mother and a wife. According to People, the journey has been packed with ups and downs.
“The first couple of years were so hard,” Emily has revealed about her first few years as a single mother, adding, “I didn’t know if I was coming or going. I was lost. I went to therapists but I knew nothing they would tell me was going to make me feel better. Mine was an issue of the heart that I needed to work out myself. And I knew that time would do that.”
