‘Destiny’ Weekly Reset For April 26: Iron Banner Clashes, Challenge Of Elders Gets Punchy

A new Destiny Weekly Reset arrived Tuesday, April 26, with a real challenge presented to those that venture into the Challenge of Elders. Bungie has set up a rather difficult combination of modifiers paired with bonus points tied to melee damage. This portends to be the most difficult of challenges yet. Meanwhile, Iron Banner returns today for all PlayStation and Xbox players.

Those venturing into the Challenge of Elders will want to equip Exotics that give an additional melee charge or provide some sort of survival boost in close quarters combat. For Titans, this will mean An Insurmountable Skullfort to gain a second melee charge and health regeneration with Storm Fist kills. There’s also No Backup Plans combined with a shotgun for Force Barrier. Meanwhile, Sealed Ahamkara Grasps are perfect for Hunters and Claws of Ahamkara are prime for all Warlock subclasses.

Iron Banner kicks off today at approximately 1 p.m. ET / 10 a.m. PT and will run through the next Weekly Reset. The event will be covered in detail in a following post, but Destiny players can look forward to the return of the Clash game type.

Court of Oryx (Guide)

Tier 3: Balwur

Destiny Court of Oryx Balwur (PlayStation, Xbox)

The Wizard Balwur may be the easiest Tier 3 boss to appear in the Court of Oryx yet. The hook with her is that the floor of the court is covered in poison except for the area underneath the platform and safe zones created by killing Major Acolytes. Balwur spawns on top of the platform, while Major Acolytes, Knights, and Thrall will spawn and move around the arena. The platform is poison-free but obviously dangerous, as Balwur will shoot players and drop poison clouds.
