Blake Shelton Speaks Out About Personal Duet With Gwen Stefani

Things have really been heating up between Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani. ET Online got the chance to talk to Blake about his new album, and word is out that he has a duet with Gwen on his album If I’m Honest. The news about their duet was revealed by Gwen as she went to her Twitter page to share the news about their big duet.

Fans were really excited when they found out that Blake would have a song with Gwen on his album. It is called “Go Ahead and Break My Heart,” but the two have been able to keep the details quiet. Blake shared that it was his idea for her to announce the duet that way. Shelton said, “We finally got a mock-up of the album, what the artwork was going to look like. And we flip it over and it has all the songs. I said, ‘You know what? Take a picture of that and tweet it.”

This song is not just one that Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani sing together on, though. They actually worked on writing the song together as well. Blake shared the details and why this song is so important to him.

“[The song] is very personal for us both because, you know, we obviously have this bond that is remarkable together. But the fact that we wrote a song together… I know that I don’t co-write that much because I’m very insecure about it I guess and [Gwen’s] kind of got her circle of people that she writes with. But for us to reach out to each other as writers, it may never happen again, who knows.”

Blake Shelton didn’t want to brag too much, but he does think this is a great song. Nobody has got the chance to hear this one just yet. It won’t be very much longer, though. Blake Shelton’s album If I’m Honest will be hitting stores on May 20.

Things have really been heating up for Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani. Radar Online reported that Blake was recently seen out with Gwen and her son Apollo. They were leaving a children’s gym and Blake was holding hands with the little boy. This was just a few days after Gwen’s divorce from Gavin Rossdale was finalized.

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani met on The Voice, and they were both going through a divorce at the same time. Gwen filed for divorce from Gavin Rossdale after 13 years of marriage and Blake divorced Miranda Lambert after just four years of marriage. Gwen had a hard time with her divorce and shared her thoughts.

“I did not think anything. I wasn’t thinking. I was feeling and I was dying. And then I was just like, You can’t go down like this! You have to turn this into music. You have to try, at least. I was so embarrassed by just everything. I just didn’t want to be that person that just went down after all of that.”

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton found each other and were able to bond over their divorce. It looks like things might work out in the end. Blake seems happy with Gwen and Miranda has moved on to start dating Anderson East since their big split.
