Blake Shelton Bonds With Gwen Stefani's Boys By Playing Baseball With Them: Is He Ready To Be A Stepdad?

Even though Blake Shelton has only been dating Gwen Stefani for five months, the "Came Here to Forget" singer has already formed a strong bond with his girlfriend's three young sons. In one of Gwen's recent Snapchat videos, Blake can be seen acting as a father figure to the boys by playing baseball with them, and he even puts in a little extra effort to entertain the kids by showing off his wild pitching style. So, will 9-year-old Kingston, 7-year-old Zuma, and 2-year-old Apollo start calling Blake Shelton "stepdad" in the near future?

According to the Daily Mail, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton spent Saturday afternoon hanging out with Gwen's sons. Their busy day in L.A. included breakfast at Hugo's restaurant, and Blake got to play soccer dad by driving the family around in his black SUV. Zuma was photographed all decked out in his soccer gear, so they were likely headed to a soccer match. The boys' father, Gavin Rossdale, couldn't attend the game because he was in Miami performing a concert.

On Sunday, Blake Shelton made sure that Gwen Stefani's sons continued to spend plenty of time outdoors by playing baseball with them in Gwen's backyard. Gwen shared a Snapchat video of one of Blake's pitches to Zuma, and it included a wacky wind-up with a lot of leg action. As you can see, Blake didn't trade his cowboy boots for a pair of cleats.

Gwen Stefani's kids have been spending a lot more time with Blake Shelton in recent weeks. Blake hosted the March 12 Kids' Choice Awards, so Gwen's sons scored an invite to the event. According to Entertainment Tonight, Zuma and Apollo were in the audience cheering Blake on as he got slimed and dressed up like a unicorn. Gwen was in Tokyo, so she had to use social media and FaceTime to keep up with what was going on.As the Inquisitr previously reported, the boys and their mother's cowboy boyfriend also spent Spring Break together last month. Gwen, Apollo, Zuma, and Kingston were invited to stay at Blake Shelton's Oklahoma home for the entire week before Easter, and they made the most of their time away from L.A. by exploring the woods, fishing, and setting off fireworks.

It's possible that Gwen Stefani is allowing her kids to form a bond with Blake Shelton because she's expecting him to be a part of their life for a very long time. According to Us Weekly, Blake is ready to pop the question.

"Blake could propose to Gwen very soon," a source revealed. "Gwen is everything he wants."

Blake Shelton allegedly sees becoming a stepdad to his girlfriend's sons as a bonus, not a burden. Blake has no children of his own, but he'd always planned on starting a family with ex-wife Miranda Lambert.

"With Gwen, Blake has the family life he'd hoped to have with Miranda," the source said.

"Her kids love him as much as she does."
Blake Shelton is also interested in having a biological child, and 46-year-old Gwen Stefani is reportedly "willing to try" for a Shefani baby.

For now, Shefani fans will have to be satisfied with the couple's other baby: their duet, titled "Go Ahead and Break My Heart." As People reports, the song will be featured on If I'm Honest, Blake Shelton's album that's dropping on May 20. Blake said that he and Gwen were initially worried about what people would think about their collaboration, but working with his girlfriend became "easy" once the couple decided that what they had to say was more important than everyone else's opinion of them.

"We finally just got to the point where it's like, 'You know what? I don't give a s***,' " Blake said.

Even though they come from totally different musical worlds, Blake says that he and Gwen actually have similar tastes when it comes to the music that they enjoy listening to. He also revealed that he's completely in awe of his "rock 'n' roll goddess diva" girlfriend.

"Any time I take a step back and think, 'Wow, to me she's Gwen, but she's Gwen Stefani,' you know what I mean?" Blake said. "It's like a self check every now and then. Whoa, I'm hanging out with literally the coolest girl in the world and I get to hang out with her. Just having a meal with her sometimes, it's like, 'Whoa, that's her sitting up there!' "

Do you think Gwen Stefani's sons will be calling Blake Shelton "stepdad" before the year ends?
