Mariah Carey Blasts Fans In On-Stage Outburst, Claims She Needs To ‘Fix Them’

Mariah Carey halted a recent European concert stop to tell the audience that she “couldn’t sing” in front of her fans and needed to “fix them.”

According to the Mirror, Mariah’s diva moment went down during a stop on her Sweet Sweet Fantasy tour in Amsterdam, where she allegedly paused her show to call out a number of fans, but it wasn’t actually her legion of loyal fans, or “lambs” as Carey’s affectionately calls them, that she took time out of her show to put on blast.

It turns out that Carey was actually referring to a collection of mechanical fans that surrounded her during her performance, which Mariah told the crowd were not blowing “appropriately” and needed to be fixed.

“Urgh, these fans, I just want to fix them. It’s just never how I want it,” Mariah Carey told concertgoers, according to an onlooker who spoke to the Mirror. “Don’t you think that if I want the fans to blow air appropriately then that’s what we need to have?”

“Why are there so many things that I must do myself around here?” Mariah then allegedly snapped while on stage in the Netherlands on April 23.

The insider claimed Carey then broke into an ad-libbed song about her very public fan battle.

“That’s so much better now I can sing a song and try to sing it to every single person in here tonight,” Mariah reportedly sang as her tour crew adjusted the fans at the front of the stage.

The site also claimed that Dutch Mariah fans were left less than thrilled with Carey after she reportedly turned up for the Amsterdam gig 45 minutes later than planned.

The Mirror alleged that Carey was actually late to the show because she was celebrating a friend’s birthday before she hit the stage last week and told fans during the concert, “We knew we had to be here, but it was my dear friend’s birthday.”

But this certainly isn’t the first time Mariah Carey fans have been left fuming over her punctuality issues.

Just last month, the “We Belong Together” singer kept fans waiting for a stop on her Sweet Sweet Fantasy tour in Leeds, UK, where Metro reported that concert goers even began to boo the superstar when Carey performed in the British city after she kept them waiting for close to an hour after allegedly opting to sleep in until 3 p.m.

The site reported at the time that Mariah finally arrived at the venue at 9:30 p.m., 45 minutes after the concert was supposed to start and was “carried on to stage at the Leeds First Direct Arena in a chaise longue to boos from many of her 10,000 gathered fans.”

A slew of Carey’s concert goers also took to social media to express their disappointment with Mariah, with a number confirming that the 10,000-capacity crowd started booing Carey for her lateness.

“The crowd has started booing. I’m not the only one! #MariahCarey #firstdirectarena #leeds,” Twitter user @lianne_herbert tweeted out of Mariah’s less than stellar punctuality from the show.

But while Carey may have been a little late to the concert, other lambs still took to the 140-character site to praise Mariah’s “amazing” performance despite her lateness.

“@MariahCarey smashed #leeds not gunna lie, was well worth the wait!! #SweetSweetFantasyTour #MariahCarey #leedsarena,” Mariah Carey fans @Gemma_Louise_16 tweeted, while @Stevey_xo wrote “Despite the fact she was late @MariahCarey was AMAZING tonight!!???? #MariahCarey #Leeds.”

What do you think of Mariah Carey’s onstage outburst about her fans? Do you think it’s okay for Mariah to be late to her own shows?
