Chrissy Teigen Leaves Her One-Week-Old Baby At Home To Go Drinking, Supermodel Responds To Critics

Chrissy Teigen surely knows how to play with her haters on social media. Teigen recently received nasty tweets after she and husband John Legend went out for dinner on Saturday, April 23, just a week after giving birth to their first child.

The pair was seen stepping out of the famous The Nice Guy restaurant in West Hollywood, California, over the weekend marking their first date after welcoming their newborn. Teigen looked sensational in a see-through beige knit top, which she paired with leather trousers. She wore a camel-colored trench coat over her sheer shirt and finished her look with a smoky eye shadow. Legend, on the other hand, looked stylish in his all-black outfit.

The proud parents were also seen out and about on Friday after running errands in Los Angeles.

However, some Twitter users are making a fuss over the couple’s first night out because baby Luna was left at home. Teigen was criticized for leaving Luna behind while she and her musician husband were out enjoying their time together.

“That spotlight pull be strong. One week. Who wants to leave a one week old baby to go to a bar?” one Twitter user commented. The 30-year-old model did not let the harsh tweets affect her; instead, she decided to address the Twitter backlash with another one of her witty comebacks.

“I went to dinner. People are pissed. Good morning!” Chrissy Teigen tweeted alongside a screenshot of several of the mean tweets.

While some tweets were completely rude, some were “passive-aggressive.”

“‘I never wanted to leave my daughter, I love her, BUT THAT’S JUST ME’ – the passive aggressiveness is real!” the first-time mom wrote, quoting one tweet from another Teigen hater. There was also another Twitter follower who mentioned “vagina smells” in the comments section.

Some of the nicer fans were curious if she enjoyed her first night out after giving birth and asked what she had for dinner. Teigen was very gracious to provide some details to her kind followers.

“Seared scallops with leaks and potato puree. delicious!” she tweeted before correcting her spelling error. “leeks* – i will never forgive my autocorrect for that one.”

Teigen also had a humorous reply for another follower who asked how her baby Luna was doing, “I dunno I can’t find her.”

Their newborn, Luna Simone, made her social media debut a few days ago, but Chrissy Teigen is not thinking of creating an Instagram page for her baby just yet. According to an E! News source, the celebrity couple is enjoying their new role and added that the two are perfectly happy that they are blessed with a healthy and adorable baby.

“John and Chrissy are in such a joyful place with their healthy baby girl Luna,” an insider close to Teigen shared to E! News. “They are surrounded by family and close friends. Chrissy and John can’t stop gushing over Luna. She is perfect!”

Legend and Teigen have been vocal about their struggles with infertility, revealing that they underwent medical procedures to conceive. A month after telling their fans about their problem, the celebrity couple happily announced that they were expecting their first baby.

“As many of you know, we’ve been trying to have a baby for a while now. It hasn’t been easy, but we kept trying because we can’t wait to bring our first child into the world and grow our family,” Chrissy Teigen previously wrote on Instagram. “We’re so excited that it’s finally happening. Thank you for all your love and well wishes. I look forward to all the belly touching!”
