Jennifer Garner Weeps In ‘Alias’ Dad Victor Garber’s Arms

Reunions are usually tearful affairs, and that was certainly the case when Jennifer Garner met up with former Alias co-star Victor Garber in New York City on Monday. The two embraced, and Garner seemed quite emotional, crying in the actor’s arms.

More than six years since calling it quits and closing down production on the hit ABC show Alias, the 40-year-old Garner cried when she was happily reunited with 63-year-old Garber. The photo makes it look like the embrace of a father and his daughter, and for good reason too: Garber played her father on the show. Garner was in New York attending 54 Below in support of her on-screen pops who was acting in the show, reports Us Weekly. She went backstage to congratulate him after curtains closed.

Alias aired for five seasons between 2001 and 2006, and the two former co-stars have stayed in touch since. Garber played Jack Bristow, the mysterious father to Garner’s Sydney Bristow. Garber received universal acclaim for his performance, and was thrice nominated for an Emmy Award for his portrayal. Fans also voted his relationship with Garner as the best non-romantic relationship on the show, according to an internet poll.

Garber is also the godfather of Garner’s daughter Violet, and officiated her wedding to Ben Affleck. Garber also had a small role in Affleck-directed The Town in back in 2010.

Garner is also in New York City to promote her upcoming film The Odd Life of Timothy Green. Here’s the heart-warming photo of her reunion with Garber:
