Prince George Steals The Show In His Pajamas As William, Catherine, And Harry Meet The Obamas
Prince George has taken the internet by storm — in his pajamas and dressing gown. The most adorable little prince in the world, who turns 3-years-old in July, stole the show when his parents and uncle Harry met the leader of the free world.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge hosted an informal dinner party at their Kensington Palace apartment for President and Mrs. Obama this evening. Also in attendance was Prince Harry, who has his own apartment in the palace.

Prince George was wearing “a pair of freshly-pressed blue gingham pyjamas, monogramed dressing gown and a pair of slippers with aeroplanes on,” writes the Daily Mail. This adorable night-time outfit will now not only be immortalized online for all time, but thousands of children across the world are going to be wearing this at bedtime from now on.
But the little prince, who is third in line to the British throne, wasn’t just there to shake hands and pass the time of day. No, he had riding to do. George eagerly showed off his horsemanship on a wooden rocking horse, which was a gift from the President and Mrs. Obama when Prince George was born.

The Obamas also gave Prince George a stuffed toy, which bore a startling resemblance to their Portuguese water dog, Bo.

Sadly for little Princess Charlotte, she had to sleep through the president’s visit. According to the Daily Mail, the dinner is the “first time that any of the young royals have entertained a head of state privately and the most significant event they have ever hosted at Kensington Palace.” The public rarely gets a glimpse inside the Cambridge’s palace apartment, 1A.
The dinner with the Duke, Duchess, and Prince Harry concluded a busy day for the Obamas. They had lunch earlier with the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh at Windsor Castle. Speaking at a press conference with British Prime Minister David Cameron, the president “joked about the ‘smooth ride’ he and Mrs Obama had when Prince Philip drove them in his Range Rover.”
Prince George was just as eager to meet his guests as his great-grandparents had been. After the Cambridge’s guests arrived in the pouring rain, “the group walked into a cream-coloured hallway where another guest stood in the distance to greet the visitors – Prince George. The two-year-old prince could briefly be seen standing inside watching their guests come inside from the rain.”
Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge have met the president and First Lady before, so it was great that they were able to have a “private” dinner with them on their last official visit to the U.K. A Kensington Palace spokesman explained how the visit came about.
“When the Duke heard that President Obama was lunching with his grandmother he extended an invitation to join them for dinner. He was delighted that he could find time in his schedule to join them.”
“‘He was able to show The President and First lady a rocking horse – given to George when he was born – and a stuffed toy – given to George when Princess Charlotte was born – that had been previously given to him by President and Mrs. Obama.'”
Prince George recently appeared in a royal portrait to commemorate the Queen’s 90th birthday. George proudly took his place alongside the other heirs to the throne; the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Cambridge — although he needed a little help from the photographer to seem a bit taller.
