RHONJ’s Amber Marchese Claims Husband’s Alleged Domestic Violence Arrest Was Just ‘Heavy PDA’

Former Real Housewives of New Jersey star Amber Marchese is breaking her silence following Jim Marchese’s arrest for alleged domestic violence and revealing exactly what went down during the incident.

Marchese recently spoke out about Jim’s April 19 arrest for alleged domestic violence in a statement issued to Radar Online, where Amber claimed that her husband, Jim, has never abused her and instead alleged that the two were just packing on some serious PDA while on a flight preparing to depart Los Angeles.

“We were actually talking about hooking up and joining the mile high club. Some heavy PDA was involved, just the opposite of what certain people reported they saw,” Amber Marchese told Radar Online of the incident that saw herself and her husband removed from the plane and Jim arrested for alleged domestic violence.

“After that brief bit of fun between us we prepared for take-off and I ordered a glass of white wine. I was peacefully sipping my wine and Jim was sleeping when we were asked to leave the plane,” Amber recalled of Jim’s arrest.

Amber then told the site that herself and Jim were not told why they were being asked to leave the flight but “were immediately separated” as they re-entered the airport and Marchese was arrested by the LAPD.

“We complied with everyone involved from the flight attendant to the authorities,” Amber Marchese continued in the statement issued to Radar Online, claiming that Jim Marchese “was nothing but a gentleman and never once lost his composure.”

Amber also vehemently denied reports that Jim abused her and called the reports “undeniably false and disgusting.”

“Domestic violence is not a joke, and having my husband be accused of such a heinous act is not only hurtful but damaging personally, emotionally and professionally,” Amber said. “I would never let myself be a victim of anything or anyone.”

TMZ first reported that Amber and Jim Marchese, who rose to fame after appearing on the sixth season of Bravo’s Real Housewives of New Jersey in 2014, had been removed from a flight at Los Angeles’ LAX airport and claimed that Marchese was then booked on charges of domestic violence.

The Los Angeles Police Department also confirmed Marchese’s arrest in a statement issued to E! News, where a spokesperson for the California law enforcement claimed that an unnamed female victim had been threatened and grabbed by the throat while on-board a flight.

“At the request of officers, a male suspect and a female victim left the aircraft,” the police department told E! News on April 20. “Additional questioning revealed the suspect had grabbed the victim by the throat and made threats against her. Suspect James Marchese was arrested and transported to LAPD Pacific Division where he was booked.”

The site then reported that Jim was charged with alleged domestic violence and was allowed to leave the police station on $50,000 bail while a court hearing for the case was set for May 11.

TMZ also caught up with the couple as they departed the California police station, where Jim told awaiting paparazzi that he and Amber, who have been married for 10 years, were “all good.”

“You know, we’re all sleeping, having a good time on the plane … I guess Virgin Atlantic wanted to take care of my kid’s scholarship fund,” Marchese said in paparazzi footage, which showed himself and Amber leaving the station together after Amber reportedly paid his bail.

Jim then claimed to TMZ in the video that he was “definitely” planning on suing over his arrest.
