Kelly Ripa Throwing A ‘Tantrum,’ Did She And Michael Strahan Really Hate Each Other?

There seems to be no end in sight for the battle between Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan over his surprise departure from Live With Kelly and Michael and his move to GMA. Sources close to the show are weighing in, and so is the crew of Live, who now fear for their jobs since Ripa walked out. Questions are now arising as to whether Ripa and Strahan really liked each other at all and if bad feelings led Strahan to split.

According to Jezebel, Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan are pretty good actors, because they have hated each other for a while, and now Ripa is quite angry that she was blindsided by Strahan’s planned departure to GMA. It seems lately that Strahan was stretched very thin by working at Live and GMA and was prone to temper tantrums. Sources wonder if the ABC brass planned the whole move and kept Kelly Ripa in the dark the whole time. Is Ripa angrier that Strahan is leaving, or because she was the last to know before the public announcement?

Reports say that Strahan and Ripa stopped talking to each other off camera and only spoke through their reps, according to an on-set source.

“They could not stand each other, and whenever they communicated off-camera, it was always through their reps.”

Ripa has now left town, and Strahan isn’t talking to the press about anything. Ripa feels betrayed that Strahan left her in the dark while he planned his exit to GMA.

“She got [Strahan] started, he stepped over her without an FYI, and now a nice morning show has become ABC’s newest drama.”

Page Six says that Kelly Ripa’s meltdown after she learned of Strahan’s departure was legendary, and it caused her to call out sick Wednesday and then for the rest of the week. She is currently with her family in the Caribbean, and she isn’t talking. However, sources say she is fuming.

Ripa is even angrier that when it comes to Live, ABC, and GMA, she was the last to know while the deal was being hashed out. Calling ABC the Go network now has new meaning, as Strahan is almost gone. At least for now, so is Ripa, but according to the show’s management, Ripa will return on Tuesday.

Ripa claims that she didn’t want to come back too soon and accidentally say something that would make matters worse for herself and the crew.

“Kelly didn’t want to show up to work and mouth off and say something she would have regretted. She is upset and didn’t want to take it out on her own staff.”

While Ripa is away, Strahan let the audience know that he will be leaving for GMA come September. Strahan said that the response for most fans of Live are as if he died. For now, Strahan will be working with guest hosts, but the show is dark today. Ripa had already planned to be off on Monday before the Strahan GMA news came down.

But TMZ says that Kelly Ripa isn’t the only one who is angry about the current state of affairs with Strahan’s departure. The crew of Live is also angry, and they are speaking out because they fear for their jobs. Members of the crew believe that the ABC brass is thinking with all of the drama if it would be better to cancel the show altogether or maybe change the time and create a third hour of GMA.

The crew believes that Kelly Ripa’s tantrum could cost them their jobs, and the longer she is out, the more the future of Live is in jeopardy.

It has been confirmed that the third hour of GMA is in play, which would obviously benefit Strahan in the long run.
