‘Time’s’ 100 Most Influential People, See Who Made The List
Time released its annual 100 Most Influential People list for 2016 on Thursday, April 21, recognizing and celebrating the pioneers, artists, icons, and leaders.
Time editor Nancy Gibbs explained why the people who made the list were chosen.
“They each embody a breakthrough: they broke the rules, broke the record, broke the silence, broke the boundaries to reveal what we’re capable of. They are seekers, with a fearless willingness to be surprised by what they find,” Gibbs said. “The people on the list, each in their own way, have lessons to teach. We can debate those lessons; we don’t have to endorse them or agree with them. But the influence of this year’s TIME 100, to my mind, is that down to the last person, they have the power to make us think. And they are using it.”

Barack Obama made the list for the 11th time, along with Secretary of State John Kerry, House Speaker Paul Ryan, South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, and Republican National Committee Reince Priebus.
The youngest on the list is Olympic gold medal swimmer Katie Ledecky, 19, while the oldest is 87-year-old artist Yayoi Kusama.

My DNA and still my daily code. Thank you @TIMEMagazine for selecting me as one of the 100 MOST INFLUENTIAL IN THE WORLD. I’m honored and privileged.”
