Rihanna Gives Jennifer Lopez Her Boots After Claiming She’ll ‘Wear Them Better’

Rihanna gifted Jennifer Lopez a pair of her own boots after claiming that she could “wear them better” than her.

Rihanna sent Jennifer a pricey pair of denim boots from her new collaboration line with Manolo Blahnik earlier this week, which Lopez then took to Instagram to show off to her millions of followers.

Jennifer posted a snap of her luxury present from the singer on the social media site on April 20, which even included a handwritten note from Rihanna in which she addressed Jennifer Lopez as being “the baddest.”

“To The Baddest, Because I know you’re gonna wear them better than me!!!,” Rihanna wrote in the message sent alongside the boots according to Lopez’s Instagram snap, before signing off, “From: badgalriri”

Jennifer then thanked Rihanna for the generous gift in the photo’s caption, where Lopez told her more than 42 million Instagram followers that she “loves” the “Work” singer.

“@badgalriri Thank you soooo much for these incredibly sick ass boots!!” Jennifer captioned her photo of the gift, which also included the hashtags “#Rihanna,” “#manolos,” “#loveher” and “#thebaddest.”

According to People Style Watch, the denim boots, which are taken from Rihanna’s new Manolo Blahnik collection, are actually more like chaps when worn, as they stretch all the way up to the hip and are then held up and fastened by the attached bedazzled belt.

While it’s not clear how much Rihanna’s gift to Jennifer Lopez actually cost, Vogue UK reported last month that pieces from Rihanna’s collection retail from £650 ($450) all the way up to £2,950 ($2,050), and it’s thought that the extravagant boots Jennifer now owns will likely be one of the most costly pieces.

Rihanna previously showed off her new shoe line in a feature with British Vogue last month, where she confessed that she’s looking forward to the day she sees someone wearing her collection and admitted that she was planning to “have a moment” with the unsuspecting customer.

Selfie! Who are you? Where did you get them?”

And now Jennifer Lopez owns her own pair of hip high boots from Rihanna’s Manolo Blahnik collection, it looks like Rihanna’s “moment” could be with Jennifer herself.

Jennifer and Rihanna previously gushed over each other last year after the two pop superstars lent their voices to a mother and daughter duo in the 2015 animated film, Home.

The two’s collaboration in the voice booth sparked rumors at the time that Jennifer and Rihanna could also team-up in the studio, to which the “We Found Love” singer joked at the film’s world premiere in March 2015, that she would actually “need butt pads” to compete with the former American Idol judge in the derrière department.

She’s shutting down 20-year-olds at 40-something. It’s unheard of.”

Jennifer also teased a team-up with Rihanna while promoting the movie, admitting to E! News that she would “absolutely” love to duet with the “We Found Love” singer at some point in the not too distant future. “I’m a huge Rihanna fan,” Lopez told the site, “and I feel like she’s such a girl’s girl, which I love, because I’m a girl’s girl and she seems very sweet.”

“I love the edginess about her and I think she did a really great job in this film,” Jennifer continued, before admitting “Absolutely! Who wouldn’t?!” when quizzed by the site on whether she’d like to do a duet with Rihanna.

What do you think of Rihanna’s gift for Jennifer Lopez? Would you like to see Rihanna and Jennifer team-up for a duet?
