Jeremy Renner Rolls His Eyes Over Kardashian Clan: ‘Those Stupid, Stupid People’
Recent action-flick staple Jeremy Renner is the latest celebrity to sound off on the cult of personality surrounding the Kardashian family.
Though most of us, by now, accept the Kardashians as pop culture staples, every once in a while a hard-working and talented celebrity will break down, shake their fist in front of a camera, and ask, “WHYYYY?!” Today, that celebrity is Jeremy Renner, who called the Kardashian clan a bunch of “stupid people with zero talent,” in a recent interview.
“Oh, all those ridiculous people with zero talent who spend their lives making sure everyone knows their name,” the 41-year-old actor responded when asked if he was a Kardashian-clan-fan.
“Those stupid, stupid people,” he continued.
Further distancing himself from the likes of the Kardashians and other reality TV personalities, Renner insisted that he’s not interested in celebrity status, reports MSN. “I know it’s a cliché, but I never wanted to be famous. I don’t believe anybody wants to be famous,” he said.
We’re Renner fans around here, but we have to kindly disagree with the Bourne star. Think about it. How many reality TV shows are there on TV right now? We didn’t bother to count, but there are a lot (check out the 2012 list here). As long as people will be drama and as long as reality TV proves cheap to produce, that list will only grow. The bubble isn’t showing signs of popping any time soon.
But take heart, Jeremy Renner, for you are not alone! According to the Examiner, Kardashian disdain is a growing trend among celebrities like yourself. Jonah Hill, your The Town co-star Jon Hamm, and James Bond (Daniel Craig) himself have all shredded the Kardashians for being stupid or for being famous for nothing.
