Kim Kardashian Breastfeeding Saint But North West Was Too Jealous

If Kim Kardashian before and after babies is a different person, it’s no wonder. Dealing with divorce rumors and Kanye West’s bizarre behavior is bad enough, but on top of that, Kim has had to cope with “some major sibling rivalry” between her two children, Saint West and North West. The two adorable babies can’t seem to agree about their mom’s choice to breastfeed Saint.

According to Hollywood Life, the mom of two tried to breastfeed her youngest child, Saint, and ran into all sorts of trouble with her first born, North. Kardashian, 35, appeared on a teaser for the final episode of sister Khloe Kardashian’s talk show, Kocktails with Khloe, to talk about her experiences with babies and breastfeeding.

It sounds like Kim has had her hands full with North’s antics as the precocious 2-year-old “went to extreme measures” and tried just about everything to end little brother Saint’s breastfeeding stint. North was really upset by the sight of baby Saint, who is 4-months-old, snuggling up to Kim’s breast and wanted to “put a stop” to it. The Mirror reports that Kim stuck to it for a few months before giving in to North’s insistent campaign.

“North West stopped that for me. You’ll die when I tell you what she did. First of all she’d cry so much and try to pull him off me.”

North had all kinds of tricks up her tiny sleeve and never gave up in her determined effort to stop Kim from breastfeeding Saint. Kim described some of North’s tactics to Khloe while she was on the show.

“I was feeding him on [one] side… and she was so jealous that she took her little milk box and put it in my bra with the straw sticking out and she wanted to drink while he was drinking.”

That is one stubborn little girl. It’s not the first time Kardashian has said that North was showing signs of sibling rivalry where Saint’s breastfeeding is concerned. In January, Kim wrote a blog on the subject and shared many of the trials and tribulations that most moms will recognize. Kim explained how North would actually climb right onto Kim’s lap to prevent Saint getting close enough to mom’s breast to be able to breastfeed.

For a while, Kardashian probably thought she had the problem solved. Early on, she tried including young North in the breastfeeding process so that North would feel part of things and not feel excluded from Kim’s attention.

“Sometimes I will pump and have her feed him the bottle. That totally worked! She loved helping me, as opposed to my attention being off of her, and now she is my little helper.”

That was only a short-term solution, though. North remained unconvinced and still vied for Kim’s attention. Eventually, all that hard work paid off for North, and Kim did stop breastfeeding her son. Not long afterward, North had a change of heart and decided that it would be alright after all for Saint to breastfeed.

“She said to me this weekend: ‘Mommy, I’m not mad anymore. You can feed baby brother and I won’t cry.'”

Unfortunately, it was too late, since breast milk only lasts while the mom is actually breastfeeding. Kim had to break the news to North that she couldn’t start again.

“Honey, the milk’s all dried up,” she told North.

Some fans expressed their disbelief that North West was the reason Kardashian stopped breastfeeding Saint.

Kardashian’s experiences have made her come out as an advocate of breastfeeding even though it didn’t work out so well with baby Saint.

“I would… breastfeed in front of my girlfriends. I think it’s such a natural experience and I’m not shy about that.”
