NFL Rumors: Baltimore Ravens Signing Trent Richardson

NFL rumors are swirling around Trent Richardson. According to NFL., the former Alabama Crimson Tide running back is signing with the Baltimore Ravens. Once highly touted as a potential star in the National Football League, Richardson is now trying to prove to the world that he can remain in the game. The two sides had been in discussion for quite some time now. However, a contract was not signed and sealed util the Ravens were confident that Richardson was serious about resurrecting his career.

Trent Richardson needed to get into football shape. That was the holdup for the Baltimore Ravens giving him a deal. A couple of weeks ago, Richardson admitted that it was pretty easy to grow lazy in the NFL. He allowed himself to get out of shape. That was a big reason why he failed with the Oakland Raiders, Cleveland Browns, and Indianapolis Colts. Trent is hoping that the Ravens are his final destination in the National Football League.

Another reason why Trent Richardson has struggled in the NFL is because of friends and family. Like most people who become a professional athlete, he was bombarded by people in his life looking for financial help. Richardson was unable to turn people down. He ended up losing a ton of money. Trent also allowed himself to be distracted from football because he was so concerned with others. That is no longer a problem.

A potential problem for Trent Richardson is depth. The Baltimore Ravens have a couple of guys at the running back position. Justin Forsett is the favorite to be the starter. It will be hard to supplant him. It might even be hard to take away snaps from him. Richardson also has to compete with Javorius Allen, Terrance West, and Lorenzo Taliaferro. Trent should realistically aim for being the primary backup to Forsett.

Joe Flacco could be a major asset to Trent Richardson. He’s one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. Defenses have to be on their heels because he can beat you with the passing game. That means that Richardson and the other running backs will have more room to run. Despite losing Kelechi Osemele to the Oakland Raiders in free agency, the Ravens still have a pretty solid offensive line.

NFL players have a tendency to be more motivated when they’re playing on a team that can contend for a spot in the Super Bowl. The Baltimore Ravens can still do that. There’s still plenty of talent on the team. Plus, John Harbaugh is one of the better coaches in the National Football League. The guy knows football and knows how to win games. Trent Richardson is in a very good environment for resurrecting his career.

The Baltimore Ravens could very well be the last chance in the NFL for Trent Richardson. Failing with four different teams could be a death blow for a football career. General managers will be hesitant to give Richardson another chance after witnessing that happen. He’s lost a lot of money in his personal life. Trent needs to remember that every time that he is on the football field. He needs to use that as motivation to keep working hard.

NFL fans love stories. They love watching people fail. That’s why Johnny Manziel is frequently a trend on social media. The guy simply is ruining every chance he has at returning to the National Football League. However, football fans also love comeback stories. Trent Richardson has a chance to become a feel good story. The Baltimore Ravens are giving him that chance. Richardson doesn’t want to be another Ricky Williams.
