‘Dancing With The Stars’ Spoilers: Week 5 Brings Switch-Up Theme, Who Is At Risk Of Heading Home Next?

Dancing With the Stars spoilers for Week 5 detail that it is time for “America’s Switch Up,” and all of the celebrities will be partnered with new professionals for their next performances. A fan-favorite former pro is back as a guest judge, and viewers will be anxious to see how these new pairs do. What’s the scoop on this next DWTS episode?

The pairings for “America’s Switch Up” have already been revealed, and there are some enticing combinations ahead for Monday’s episode of Dancing With the Stars. Spoilers via ABC indicate that the performances will cover a wide variety of dance genres in Week 5, with the cha cha, Viennese waltz, tango, paso doble, salsa, rumba, and jive all in the mix of things. The dance order for this next show has not yet been revealed, but the partnerships, dance styles, and songs are all now available.

Antonio Brown will be dancing with Karina Smirnoff instead of Sharna Burgess and they will be doing a cha cha to Dusty Springfield’s “Son of a Preacher Man.” As PureDWTS notes, fans of Antonio’s need to call 1-800-868-3401 to keep Brown in the competition. Sharna is now dancing with Nyle DiMarco in Week 5, and they are said to be dancing the Viennese waltz to Ruelle’s “I Get to Love You.” Nyle’s Dancing With the Stars fans should call 1-800-868-3409 to cast their votes for DiMarco.

Nyle’s partner, Peta Murgatroyd, will be partnered with Doug Flutie for “America’s Switch Up,” and the duo will dance the tango to Sam Sparro’s “Black & Gold.” Doug has had a couple of rough outings leading into Week 5 of DWTS, so his fans will want to make sure they call 1-800-868-3402 to keep him in the competition.

Wanya Morris and Lindsay Arnold have quickly become fan favorites this season on Dancing With the Stars, but now they face a performance apart. Wanya will partner with Witney Carson Monday night and they’ll dance the tango to James Bay’s “Hold Back the River.” Wanya’s fans will want to call 1-800-868-3412 to ensure that he stays in the competition.

Dancing With the Stars spoilers indicate that Lindsay is partnered with Von Miller now and the two will do a jive to “Hips” by Beans & Fatback. Von’s supporters will need to call 1-800-868-3411 to cast their votes for him. Ginger Zee and Val Chmerkovskiy have been getting rave reviews on their performances this spring, but they too will be facing new partnerships in Week 5. Ginger will dance with Mark Ballas, and they’ll do a salsa to Eddie Palmieri’s traditional “La Malanga.” Ginger’s fans can ensure her safety by calling 1-800-868-3404.

As for Val, many DWTS fans will be excited to see him dancing with Fuller House star Jodie Sweetin Monday night. Jodie has had a couple of rough performances as well, but dancing with Chmerkovskiy may be just what she needs to turn things around. Jodie and Val will dance a paso doble to the Calvin Harris and Alesso song, “Under Control.” Those who want to see Jodie stick around will want to call 1-800-868-3405 to keep her in the competition.

Jodie’s partner, Keo Motsepe, will dance with Kim Fields Monday night, and they will do the Viennese waltz to the Otis Redding song “These Arms of Mine.” To vote for Kim, Dancing With the Stars viewers need to call 1-800-868-3406. Kim’s partner Sasha Farber has been paired with Mark’s partner, Paige VanZant, for Week 5, and they will tackle a rumba to One Direction’s “Perfect.” Paige’s fans will need to call 1-800-868-3410 to ensure that she is not facing elimination.

Dancing With the Stars spoilers tease that Maksim Chmerkovskiy is back behind the judge’s table Monday night to serve as a guest judge. Will anybody be eliminated at the end of the Week 5 show? Viewers may be left hanging until the end of Monday’s episode to know for certain, but there is no mention of an elimination in the latest press release. Typically, the votes and scores from “America’s Switch Up” are combined with the previous week’s tallies to keep everybody safe until the following show.

As PureDWTS details, the show has not done an elimination during this switch-up theme in past Dancing With the Stars seasons. However, that is not a guarantee that everybody is safe Monday night. Based on the scores from Week 4, if someone is heading home at the end of Monday’s episode, it almost certainly will be either Doug or Jodie. If indeed the votes and scores from the past two weeks are combined, Doug likely remains in grave danger of being eliminated. Jodie surely will do well with Val this time around, which may put Kim in a bit of danger when the next elimination takes place.

Which new partnerships will shine and which ones will falter? Dancing With the Stars fans aren’t always excited about the “America’s Switch Up” theme, but the Week 5 partnerships for Season 22 do bring some enticing combinations to the table. Tune in to DWTS airing Monday, April 18, to see which stars smoothly handle this shake-up in their routines.
