Elliott Neese Has New Job In Alaska, But Isn’t Ready To Call It Quits On ‘Deadliest Catch’

Elliott Neese may not be on Season 12 of Deadliest Catch, but the former captain of the F/V Saga has plans for new work.

According to a tweet posted by Elliott on April 15, he picked up a new gig in Alaska.

A large number of ships from different cruise lines hit the ports of Ketchikan in Alaska all summer long — and visitors are offered all types of excursions once they get to shore. Alaska Crab Tour is one of the popular excursions cruise passengers and other travelers book. Chances are they’ll get to see Elliott Neese in person!

According to Alaska Crab Tour’s website, excursion enthusiasts will board the F/V Aleutian Ballad (seen on season 2 of Deadliest Catch) to experience the world of crab fishing. Tickets cost $169 for adults and $109 for children under the age of 13. Tours last three hours and give people an up-close and personal experience of the crabbing industry. Guests are seated in a heated and sheltered amphitheater located on the ship’s upper deck. The vessel also travels near shorelines, where tourists get a glimpse of wildlife characteristic of Alaska, such as bald eagles and grizzly bears.

“You will be introduced to the entire crew, some of whom you may have seen on television,” the site reads. “On our way to the fishing grounds, you will be familiarized with the boat you’re on and her colorful history as a working crab fishing boat in the notorious Bering Sea.

It continues: “You will be acquainted with the history of Alaska’s fisheries as well as the type of fishing vessels and gear you are likely to encounter during your cruise through Alaskan waters.”

The site adds that the rough waters of the Bering Sea will NOT be a part of the excursion!

What Elliott’s specific role will be for the tour company is unknown.

So, what’s the plan for Elliott Neese when it comes to his future on Deadliest Catch? Will he return to the popular Discovery series? He’s out this season because he’s focusing on himself after recovering from drug and alcohol abuse.

In answering one of his followers, Elliott indicates he definitely wants the door kept open for his return to the show.

He tweeted: “I want Achance to get back on. Nshow the world that there is hope that recovery is possible n dat Ive turned my life around!”

As fans of the show are already aware, Capt. Jake Anderson is running the Saga now. On the first episode of season 12, Jake made little effort in hiding the fact that he changed everything he could that associated the boat with Elliott. He replaced the captain’s chair, repainted portions of it, and made structural modifications throughout. Jake openly threw zingers at Elliott… who wouldn’t be on the show to unleash a few of his own.

Going by Elliott’s tone, it’s apparent that he isn’t ready to make his exit from the show final yet. Whether the producers will see it the same way remains to be seen.

In an exclusive interview with Elliott, he shared in-depth how he was recovering after successfully completing rehab last spring. Read more about what he’s up to here.
