Ben Higgins And Lauren Bushnell Are On The Move Again: What Are The ‘Bachelor’ Lovebirds Up To Now?
Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell of ABC’s The Bachelor 2016 season have been essentially joined at the hip since their finale aired in March. The two have done a lot of traveling over the past few weeks, and it looks like they are at it once again. What is the latest from Ben and Lauren?
Earlier in the week, Lauren Bushnell tweeted that she was back in Los Angeles, packing up the rest of her things so she could officially get moved to Denver, Colorado, where Ben Higgins lives. However, it looks like the moving process had to be put on hold for a brief bit, as the Bachelor stars have already traveled somewhere else.
As fans know, Ben is originally from Warsaw, Indiana, even though he lives in Denver now. Higgins and Bushnell already made one trip back to Indiana after their finale aired, and they spent time with his parents and hit up the Baker Youth Club for a charity event. Many Bachelor viewers will remember that Ben and Lauren had one date during the show involving the BYC, a place that he volunteered at when he was still in the area.
Now it looks like Ben and Lauren are back in Indiana, and this visit is centered around an appearance as well. According to the IU Bloomington Newsroom, Higgins and Bushnell were serving as grand marshals of the Indiana University 2016 Little 500 festivities. Ben graduated from the school in 2012, his LinkedIn page notes, and it comes as no surprise to his fans that he is involved in some events for the school now.
Ben and Lauren were involved in both the men’s and women’s races over the course of the weekend. The Little 500 is a bike race that helps to provide scholarships for IU students, and Higgins noted that he is grateful to have the opportunity to return to the school to participate in the long-standing tradition of the race once again.
The Bachelor fans picked up on Ben and Lauren’s return to Indiana on Thursday as they both posted on their social media pages about doing some shopping at a Bloomington shop called Blond Genius. It seems that Bushnell was finding plenty that she wanted to scoop up, and Higgins joked that things could get a bit dangerous as his fiancée shopped.
Higgins and Bushnell have been spending a lot of time in one another’s hometowns since they were able to go public with their Bachelor engagement. In addition to getting Lauren set up in Denver where Ben lives now, the two hit Portland, Oregon, for a brief trip to visit her family. There was bonding, golfing, and a Portland Trail Blazers game, but the two did not stay there for long.
What comes after this current Indiana trip? Based on one of Bushnell’s latest tweets, it seems that the two are headed back to Los Angeles for a bit, as the Bachelor star was hoping to score some tickets for Sunday’s basketball game between the Portland Trail Blazers and Los Angeles Clippers. After that, Ben and Lauren will likely still pick up some charity appearances here and there, but Bushnell and Higgins have said that they are anxious to settle down and enjoy their engagement. However, they have teased that wedding planning will likely begin soon.
Though Ben and Lauren have not set a wedding date yet, the Bachelor stars have teased that they do not plan to wait too terribly long. They have said that they may get married later this year or early next year, but fans will have to wait and see how things progress.
