Taylor Swift Purchases Cape Cod Mansion Near The Kennedys

Taylor Swift already took boyfriend Connor Kennedy home to meet her parents, and now the 22-year-old singer is taking the next step — moving in.

Swift spent a summer getting used to the Kennedy lifestyle on Cape Cod and now has decided to buy a house in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts, People reported.

A realtor based in Hyannis, Massachusetts confirmed the purchase to People, saying that Taylor Swift closed on the property last week. The mansion Taylor Swift purchased sits across the street from Conor’s grandmother, Ethel, NBCNews.com reported.

“It’s in a beautiful location and right across the street from Conor and the Kennedys,” the realtor said. “It’s a beautiful home. She got a nice home, paid fair price. The house was on the market for two to four years.”

The 13-room home has seven bedrooms and five bathrooms and overlooks Nantucket Sound. Though it was originally listed at $14 million, the realtor noted that it was “way overpriced” and that Taylor Swift bought it for a reported $4.9 million.

The purchase won’t come as a surprise to residents of Cape Cod. Taylor Swift and Conor Kennedy have been seen together frequently, including pictures of a boat ride with the two.

Just a few days ago, it was reported that Taylor Swift took Conor Kennedy home to Nashville to meet her parents. Even though Swift’s parents, Scott and Andrea, are separated, they came together for a meal to meet Kennedy, the son of the son of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and his late wife Mary Kennedy.

Taylor Swift first met the Kennedy family at the January premiere of Ethel, and, though Ethel Kennedy denied claims that she set the couple up, she has said she’s very happy to see them together.
