‘Dying To Be Loved’ Airing On Lifetime: Is This Based On A True Story? [Video]

Tonight, the new movie Dying to Be Loved debuts on Lifetime. This will be another typical Lifetime movie, but many fans are now curious about the details of Dying to Be Loved. Lifetime has shared plenty of details about the movie that will air tonight starring Lindsay Hartley. It is shaping up to be a big hit. Lifetime has a lot of different movies, but they air a new one every Saturday, and every once in a while, they are based on a true story.

Lifetime has shared what the movie Dying to Be Loved is all about and what you will get to see tonight.

“Jill Yates’ teenage daughter Emily starts dating bad boy Gary, whose violent behavior lands Emily and him in trouble. To avoid prison, Gary and Emily appear to commit a double suicide, but Jill sets out to prove that Gary has gone on the run… and has taken Emily with him.”

TV Grapevine got the chance to talk to Lindsay Hartley, one of the stars in Dying to Be Loved, to get some of the details about this movie. From what critics are saying about Dying to Be Loved, there doesn’t seem to be any reason to think that it is based on a true story, like a lot of Lifetime movies are. Instead, it’s just a typical Lifetime movie. This one may remind you of real world stories, but Dying to Be Loved is a work of fiction.

Lindsay Hartley will be playing the part of Jill in Dying to Be Loved. She is the mother of a daughter who, at just 18, is suffering from depression. It looks like her daughter has finally found love and she is really happy about it. The boyfriend ends up not being what they hoped, though, and has a very dark past. Lindsay says that Dying to Be Loved is a thriller that will keep you guessing.

Lindsay did mention one thing that was hard for her during filming. In the movie Dying to Be Loved, Jill had to deal with a lot of emotions. Jill said that it was hard to keep up with the stamina needed for her character in this movie. Lindsay had to think of how she would feel in that situation being a mother herself. Luckily, the circumstances in the film are not the kind of thing she has been through, but being a mother, she could imagine how Jill felt.

You might know Lindsay Hartley from her time on soap operas. Before Dying to Be Loved, she was on Days Of Our Lives and Passions. Lindsay is also currently working on two other movies, and in one of them she plays an evil character. No word yet on what movies Lindsay is working on.

2 Paragraphs reports about who plays Gary and a few more details of the movie Dying to Be Loved. Gary and his girlfriend Emily get into so much trouble that they both decide to commit suicide to keep themselves from going to prison. They were last seen with chains and cinder blocks jumping off a bridge, but not everyone believes that they really committed suicide. Gary is portrayed by Jedidiah Goodacre.
