John Cleese Ties The Knot For The Fourth Time

John Cleese — comedian, actor, and former Monty Python cast member — loves being married so much that he’s decided to tie the proverbial knot for the fourth time, according to WENN. Cleese, 72, has reportedly ventured down the well-worn road towards wedded bliss with jewelry designer Jennifer Wade, who is over 30 years younger than her new husband. Cleese, apparently, still has what it takes to woo the ladies.

“I knew from the moment I met her that this could be something very serious,” Cleese told Hello! magazine. He also added that he “fought back tears” during the ceremony.

Wade, of course, mirrors her suitors sentiments. “We’re kindred spirits,” she explained. “When people see us together, they immediately get it.”

Here’s hoping this particular union works out a little better for Cleese than his last. Hello! reports that his divorce from his third wife, Alyce Faye Eischelberger, ultimately cost him a sizable portion of his fortune. However, four years later, Cleese is apparently ready to take another shot at love.

“I never felt there was anything wrong with the institution of marriage – the only thing wrong was my ability to choose the right person,” explained following his split in 2008. “I couldn’t imagine being with anyone other than Jenny now. And, with my record, that’s a pretty remarkable thing to say.”

Cleese, who was born in Weston-Super-Mare, England, is probably best known to audiences for Monty Python’s Flying Circus, though his talents certainly do not end there. In addition to starring in such popular motion pictures as A Fish Called Wanda, Silverado, and a handful of James Bond outings, Cleese has also loaned his instantly recognizable voice to such animated endeavors as Planet 51, Igor, and three Shrek sequels.

Presently, John Cleese just wrapped production on the animated comedy A Liar’s Autobiography – The Untrue Story of Monty Python’s Graham Chapman.
