John Legend Rushed To Emergency Room, Gets Prescription For Rest

Singer John Legend has received a prescription for bed rest after he was rushed to the emergency room earlier on Sunday. The Singer is said to be resting at home now, although he was not doing well earlier.

TMZ reports that Legend, who just returned from South Africa (among other places) was feeling so under the weather Sunday morning that he took himself to the emergency room, where he was treated for flu-like symptoms.

Given his extensive traveling schedule this summer, it is not surprising that he would be feeling under the weather, and Legend’s rep even stated that:

“He’s been traveling a lot and must have picked up a flu-bug somewhere along the way, but he’s fine and resting at home now.”

USA Today notes that, just a few hours after the news of his ER trip broke, John tweeted to his followers:

“Just got back to the U.S. Thanks to all my South African fans! I was a bit under the weather this weekend but you helped me through it.”

A little while later, the 33-year-old singer made an anticipated announcement on Twitter, writing:

Jetsetters like Legend often contract flu-like symptoms when their traveling takes a toll on them. However, as long as the 33-year-old singer listens to the doctor’s orders and rests for a little while, he will get better soon, reports The Examiner.
