Britney Spears On Performing At Billboard Music Awards And Collaborating With Meghan Trainor
Britney Spears has got her fans pretty excited lately seeing as her latest album is finally set in the next 2 months. The performer has been teasing about a new album since mid-2015 and posting social media pics of her and producers working hard in the studio on occasion to remind fans that the new music is on its way. A supposed June release date has been all the talk over the past week.
With a new album and hit Vegas show, the star is sure to keep promoting her skills and making appearances at the biggest music awards show. It’s being reported that one upcoming show Brit will not only appear at, but will also possibly perform at, is the Billboard Music Awards.

The Hamilton Spectator shares the details about the anticipated performance.
“The ‘Piece of Me’ hitmaker — who performed with Iggy Azalea at last year’s ceremony — could be set to perform on May 22 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas as the show’s producers are eager to get the pop beauty to make a massive comeback on the night.”
The princess of pop performed at the 2015 awards show alongside Iggy Azalea, and sources are claiming that it was an obvious choice to bring Spears back for another show. The publication relays the words of the said source.
“Everyone knows Britney brings in massive ratings, so it was a no-brainer for producers to try and get her on board. With her new single dropping a couple of days before the show timing couldn’t be more perfect. She is in the best shape of her life so the performance is set to be a massive return to the top.”
About the upcoming single, the source shared that the video to match the sure-to-be-hit is “somewhat unexpected,” as a follow up to Brit’s 2013 “Britney Jean.”
“The concept for the video is all set. The single and the video will thrill fans because it’s all new, totally different and somewhat unexpected. It’s different; it’s a turn. She’s gone from pretty straight-forward pop to a really interesting vibe with a lot of really cool stuff.”
Spears’ full new album is supposedly to be released 4 weeks after her new single drops. There’s nothing like having some new Britney tracks to start the summer off right with. In order to bring fans her latest catchy beats, Spears is always happy to collaborate with other notable artists.

There is one artist that would absolutely love to write for Spears and made it known upon meeting her in L.A. Reid’s office. Singer/songwriter Meghan Trainor says she is a massive Spears fan. The “No” singer has matured over the duration she has been in the spotlight and has recently shared just how influential Britney Spears has been on her music career. Digital Spy shares the words of Trainor on the subject of collaborating with Brit.
“It’s funny, because during the time when I was writing [these songs], I met with ?Britney randomly. I was in LA Reid’s office and Britney’s people who are working with her now came in and met me. I was like, ‘Should I? Should I write for Britney Spears right now?’ I was so crazy busy, but I was like, ‘Hey, if you guys ever want help or need an extra writer, I’m so down.’ She’s the reason why I’m a singer. That was the first album I ever had.”
Trainor’s own latest single, “No,” is already a smash hit, and the release of the single is to be followed by her new album dropping ahead of Britney Spears’ on May 13. The album is entitled Thank You and will likely include a great mix of catchy anthems and powerful ballads.
