Powerball Jackpot Now At $305 Million

This Wednesday’s drawing is going to be a big one. The Powerball jackpot grew to $305 million after no one claimed the prize on Saturday night.

The winning numbers on Saturday were 4, 13, 39, 46, 51 and the Powerball was 1. No one matched all six numbers. But according to ABC, several people hit five of the six winning numbers and collected $1 million. The million dollar tickets were sold in Florida, New Jersey, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania.

At $305 million, this is one of the largest Powerball jackpot’s in history.

In 2007, a person from Indiana claimed $314.3 million. In 2002, a $314.9 million jackpot was claimed by a man in West Virginia. More recently, Louise White won $336.4 million, the largest cash payout in Powerball history, in February of this year. Of course, there was also that monster $640 Mega Millions jackpot that was won by a few people earlier this year.

The last person to win the Powerball Jackpot was Noel Peel who bought a $60 million ticket on June 3rd.

Peel said:

“We are just so thankful that this has happened… We have an amazing family. We don’t need a million dollars to make it better, but it doesn’t hurt.”

Do you play the Powerball? What would you do with $305 million?
