Drew Barrymore And Kate Middleton Wore The Same Dress On The Same Day – Coincidence?

It’s rare for two people who don’t know each other personally to wear the same dress on the same day, especially if the dress in question is a Tory Burch dress worth $1,500.

But on Thursday night, iconic actress Drew Barrymore and Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton did just that, according to ET. And judging by the photos that emerged on the internet, both women looked absolutely stunning rocking the same semi-sheer Tory Burch gown.

The Tory Burch gown both ladies wore is embroidered with a floral pattern with alternating silver, orange, and green designs.

Kate Middleton wore the dress during a formal dinner with her husband, Prince William, and the King and Queen of Bhutan. The royal couple went there as part of their week-long tour of India and Bhutan.

There is currently a lot of buzz around Kate, particularly the myriad dresses she’s been wearing during her trip to India and Bhutan with Prince William. Before the $1,500- worth Tory Burch gown, she’s worn everything from Alexander McQueen and Temperley London to Topshop and Accessorize. Middleton, considered by many as a fashion icon, bolstered that perception with her stunning array of wardrobe choices during the week-long trip.

While Kate wore the same dress as Drew on Thursday night, the rest of her wardrobe was entire different from the Charlie’s Angels actress. Barrymore wore a pair of beautiful grey heels, whereas Middleton put on a pair of strappy black heels. Prince William’s wife also wrapped herself with a glamorous orange shawl, which accentuated her figure very well. The dress has a sheen to it that catches the eye quite easily, exuding an elegance worthy of the Duchess.

Prince William, for his part, went smart casual, wearing a blazer and an open-neck shirt paired with blue chinos and brown loafers.

Before the formal dinner, William and Kate tried their hand at archery, which is Bhutan’s national sport. The royal couple were all over the place, which is not to say that they didn’t enjoy the experience. Kate, whose shots missed the mark by far, was seen bursting into giggles, to the delight of everyone who attended the affair.

Drew Barrymore, on the other hand, wore the Tory Burch dress on the red carpet just outside the Annual ASPCA Bergh Ball at the Plaza Hotel, where she was a guest of honor. Photos of Drew at the event showed her hugging a puppy. Barrymore has long been known as a dog lover, and she expressed that prodigious love when she was interviewed at the event.

“Life is better with dogs,” Barrymore said, beaming. “Life is definitely better with rescue dogs.”

It’s been a tough month for the Wedding Singer actress, who recently divorced from Will Kopelman after three years of marriage. While she didn’t mention her divorce directly, Drew hinted that her dog helped her cope with her grief, saying that “there’s a reason people cling to their pets.”

“Sadly, our family is separating legally, although we do not feel this takes away from us being a family,” Drew and Will said in a statement to People. “Divorce might make one feel like a failure, but eventually you start to find grace in the idea that life goes on.”

“Animals have given me a rite of passage, a humility and a purpose and a kindness and a lack of cruelty,” Barrymore told the audience at the event. “I don’t have it in my heart to be rude, mean, cruel, unkind to any person on the planet.”

Barrymore now has two daughters: Olive, 3, and Frankie, who turns two-years-old later this week, whom she shares custody with Kopelman. Drew added that she wants to make sure that her daughters grew up with the dog because she “knew that they should have a friend.”
