Justin Bieber Brings Out Usher And Akon At ‘Full Circle’ Atlanta Purpose Tour Show

Justin Bieber marked his second and last Purpose World Tour show in Atlanta, Georgia, bringing out two surprise guests, Usher and Akon, on Wednesday night.

As Usher would later tweet, the concert had a “full circle” resonance for him and Bieber as the city where the pair met back in 2007 through the then budding superstar’s manager, Scooter Braun. The Biebs and his mother, Pattie Mallette, subsequently moved to Atlanta under Braun and Usher’s guidance to launch his career.

In the case of Akon, the Missouri singer’s presence last night was a surprise even to the Biebs. As seen in footage, Justin spotted Akon in the crowd and shouted him out, saying something like, “Why aren’t you up here?”

Before that spontaneous moment, the “Sorry” singer performed his hit “Love Yourself” accompanying himself on the guitar during the acoustic segment of his show. Justin then segued into singing Usher’s 2001 hit “U Got It Bad,” before breaking it off and semi-theatrically asking “Usher, where you at?”

At that point, the Confessions superstar walked onstage while the over 21,000 Philips Arena crowd screamed the house down. The pair then resumed the song. Watch the video below.

A look from another angle.

Following a rapturous reception to the duo’s “U Got It Bad” rendition, Justin teased the audience with more from Usher before the 37-year-old let rip with some of his solo hits after the Biebs made a stage exit.

Among the songs performed by Usher were, “I Don’t Mind,” “Lovers And Friends,” and “U Don’t Have to Call.”

Akon also got a chance to shine after Justin saw him in the crowd. The older singer performed his 2006 banger “I Wanna Love You.”

Usher and Akon’s stage turns come after Ludacris joined the Biebs for a hype version of their 2001 signature hit “Baby” during the first Atlanta show.

Justin kicked off his (mostly) sold-out Purpose World Tour in Seattle, Washington, on March 9. Reviews have been mostly glowing, with numerous critics totally wowed by the production values, spectacle, concept, and songs, most of which are from the 22-year-old’s highly acclaimed Purpose album.

Usher tweeted the following.

He continued, “Surprised ATL tonight with the fam @justinbieber on the #PurposeTour. Love you man!” adding, “Had to bring the U chain back out tonight. Killed it 2nite with the fam @justinbieber!” alongside a pic of the chain.

Akon said, “@justinbieber thanks for having me- Love u bro! #PurposeTourAtlanta.”

As of now, Bieber has four days off until his next scheduled Purpose Tour show in St Louis, Missouri, on April 19.
