Is Selena Gomez Homeless? Why She’s ‘Living Out Of Suitcases’

Selena Gomez is allegedly “homeless” and “living out of suitcases” according to a report by Hollywood Life.

The site revealed last week that, while Selena does actually own at least one property that she calls home, Gomez has actually been avoiding her own property recently and has instead been spending time in a number of different luxury hotels in recent months.

According to a source who recently spoke out about Selena and her current living situation to the gossip site, “Gomez is ‘homeless’ and has been for a while,” after choosing to spend time in a number of different Californian hotels rather than living at her own property.

“She may own property but she doesn’t really use a home. Instead she has spent the last couple of years living out of posh hotels,” a source claimed of Selena, noting that Gomez opts to spend her time flitting between The Sunset Tower Hotel, The Peninsula Hotel or The Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles when she’s in California.

As for why Selena is supposedly staying away from home and opting to live in hotels, Hollywood Life‘s insider is alleging that Gomez enjoys the “freedom” that comes with hotel living and likes that she can spend time in the property without the pressures of having to take care of her own home.

“Selena does not need to worry about taking care of anything at the hotel cause everything is catered to her 24/7,” the source continued, “She likes the privacy the hotels afford her and the freedom of not being tied down anywhere.”

According to the Selena Gomez insider who spoke to the gossip site, Gomez’s increasingly busy schedule is another reason why Selena supposedly opts for hotel living.

“She works a lot and the hotels fit her busy lifestyle. She is quite happy living out of suitcases for the time being and will continue to do so until her hectic lifestyle slows down,” the source claimed.

Back in November, Variety confirmed that Gomez had put her Calabasas mansion on the market for close to $4.5 million just over a year after Selena revealed that she’d bought a home on the West Coast during appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

“Yeah, I can, like, walk around naked now and stuff!” Selena joked on the daytime talkshow host of buying the property, where Gomez also admitted that she had plans to move to New York to be closer to best friend Taylor Swift.

“She wants to kidnap me,” Selena joked of Taylor’s plans to get her to make the big move to the East Coast. “She’s been begging me every time we get on the phone to move to New York, ’cause it’s been a really good thing for her,” Gomez told DeGeneres, “You know, we’ve been friends for seven years and she really feels like she kind of stepped into her own and became a woman there, and she’s like, ‘All right, your turn!'”

Reports that Selena has been spending a whole lot of time in hotels in recently comes as The Daily Mail recently reported that Gomez recently splashed some serious cash on a luxury Airbnb property for herself a number of her friends during a Malibu vacation.

Selena took to Instagram to show off a snap of herself and her closest friends enjoying some quality time together in the luxury pad on April 3, which the site alleged cost Selena close to $3,000 per night.

According to The Daily Mail, the Malibu apartment boasted its own private beach, a concierge service and 1,000 square feet of deck space.
