Miles Teller Didn’t Get Han Solo Role Because Of Negligence, Girlfriend Keleigh Sperry Still Supports Him

Miles Teller has been bumped off the Han Solo shortlist and that may be his own fault. While casting for big movies like that can be a fickle thing, Teller might have let his ego get ahead of him when applying for the role of Han Solo. At least he still has his girlfriend Keleigh Sperry by his side to support him through the tough times.

“I had never even seen any of the original Star Wars movies until maybe a month or a couple weeks before my first audition because I was like, ‘I should check this out,'” Miles said, according to Entertainment Weekly.

If he pushed back his research that much, it is no wonder that the role of Han Solo will go to somebody who was much more committed and invested in the character.

Rumor has it now that Disney has narrowed down the search to four young and lesser-known actors: “Taron Egerton (Kingsman: The Secret Service), Alden Ehrenreich (Hail, Caesar!), Jack Reynor (Transformers: Age of Extinction), and Emory Cohen (Brooklyn),” reports Daily Mail.

But this does not mean that Miles Teller is falling behind on his movie career. He is still pushing it in Hollywood, starring in movies like War Dogs with big shots like Jonah Hill.

The fact that he has a steady relationship with his girlfriend probably helps him get through the rejection from the role Han Solo.

Most recently, he brought Keleigh Sperry to the MTV Movie Awards, showing off his model girlfriend to the public again.

“Miles Teller and longtime girlfriend Keleigh Sperry were the picture of a happy couple at the MTV Movie Awards on Saturday,” reports People Magazine. “The War Dogs actor, 29, and the stunning 23-year-old model shared a smooch while they posed for the cameras, with Sperry looking chic in an off-the-shoulder black top. Teller paired a bomber jacket with a white t-shirt and dog tags.”

Keleigh didn’t forget to Instagram about it either.

Right before that, he took her to Japan to see the sights and taste the culture. Even though he is not a big public advocate of his relationship, he doesn’t seem to mind that she posts about it all the time.

“It’s been pretty easy because right now, her full-time gig is kind of being with me and before her, I would never invite a girl into that world because I didn’t think I could have both,” he added, according to the Daily Mail. “She’s allowed me to be able to really focus on acting and do what I want to do. She can come to set and visit me and hang out and doesn’t really distract me from it.”

It looks like Keleigh Sperry is definitely the one that is more receptive towards his schedule. It’s hard enough to have a relationship when you are in your 20s, so it makes sense that one side has to compromise a bit.

Right now, he can definitely use his girlfriend’s support because his career has been on a downswing. His latest superhero movie, Fantastic Four, was a flop and he spends a lot of time defending the movie.

“People think that when you make something like a Fantastic Four that doesn’t do well, people think ‘Oh you phoned it in’ and it couldn’t be more untrue,” he said according to Blastr. “You work harder on the bad films, or the films that turn out maybe not the way you intended, because something’s not working… But I think it’s unfortunate a movie like that becomes a scarlet letter on a resume when so many talented people worked really hard and maybe a handful of people took it in a negative direction.”

Do you think Keleigh Sperry is one of the reasons that Miles Teller is standing tall, despite all the rejections that he has faced?
