Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth were engaged, then endured a dramatic split. Then came the surprise: Miley recently was sporting the same engagement ring that Liam had given her before. However, with few sightings of the couple, some wondered whether the lovebirds had split again. Now, Cyrus and Hemsworth have mustered up the courage to flaunt their commitment by canoodling in public, according to the Daily Mail.
The couple chose the premiere of The Huntsman: Winter’s War to make their appearance, showing their appreciation of the family ties (Liam’s brother Chris Hemsworth has taken pride in turning the film into his newest blockbuster).
An observer saw Miley and Liam holding hands, and he was described as touching her leg affectionately. That sighting came after the two subjected themselves to being photographed in public for the first time since heating up their hookup again.
The rekindled romance began when Cyrus spent New Years in Australia (Liam’s native country), and subsequently Miley was flaunting her engagement ring again. That resulted in reports stating that the two had chosen New York to ring in the new romance. Cyrus also moved into Liam’s house in Malibu.
The off-again on-again romance dates back to 2010, and they were engaged the first time in 2012. Miley and Liam then cancelled their wedding in 2013, and fans are currently waiting to see what happens the second time around.
While the suspense grows for Hemsworth and Cyrus, her new role on The Voice is also generating some surprises. Miley has been battling one of the coaches, Adam Levine, in her position as key adviser to the coaches, an insider told Us Weekly.
Although viewers of The Voice are familiar with the concept of battles rounds, it’s a different kind of battle when Cyrus and Adam go at it.
Miley “totally butted heads” with Levine, revealed the insider, who feels the clashes are caused by the similarities in their personalities.
“They both have short attention spans. They find each other annoying. Adam would get agitated when Miley would interrupt him, and she enjoyed getting under his skin.”
In addition to Adam, Cyrus is working closely with coach Blake Shelton. But no problems exist between them.
“Blake and Miley got along extremely well!” added the insider.
Next season will see the departure of both Pharrell Williams and Christina Aguilera. Both Shelton and Levine will remain, and will be joined by Cyrus and Alicia Keys as the new coaches.
Blake began his romance with his girlfriend Gwen Stefani when they were both coaches on The Voice last season. Viewers were delighted to watch the two go from platonic pals to parading their passionate PDA.
And now, as the Inquisitr previously reported, there are even rumors swirling that Shelton and Stefani might take their love to the next level with marriage and baby plans.
This season, The Voice viewers have been treated to glimpse of the hot romance between Gwen and Blake because Stefani has served as the mentor for Team Shelton. But what will happen next season when Miley moves into the coach chair? With Cyrus forming such a bond with Shelton, Gwen is allegedly worrying that Blake feels just as fond of Miley, according to Celeb Dirty Laundry.
Similarities between Shelton and Cyrus include their country music backgrounds and fondness of partying. They’ve also developed the ability to banter on The Voice just like Blake used to do with Gwen. But is there really any reason for Stefani to feel threatened that Miley will steal away Shelton?
Cyrus and Hemsworth just made it very clear that their engagement is back on, and so is their love, according to ET. Miley and Liam have been spotted holding hands in public, and an excited fan even tweeted her excitement in meeting the lovebirds, while others tweeted about their happiness.
