Scarlett Johansson Joins Henry Cavill To Promote Huawei, Speaks Of Unavailable Men [Video]

Scarlett Johannson has teamed up with Superman v Batman star Henry Cavill to promote Asian mobile brand Huawei to the West. She has also recently spoken out about relationships with emotionally unavailable men and offers advice on how to handle the situation.

As reported by the Drum, Huawei recently announced its partnership with camera company Leica in producing its P9 and P9 Plus new flagship smartphones. At a recent launch in London, England, the Asian company aired a teaser of its new ad campaign, which was created by Havas London.

Reportedly, the Asian mobile company has also plastered posters of the superhero stars all over Beijing.

After airing the video at the show, Huawei subsequently published the teaser video on YouTube (included below), which goes into superhero mode, starring Avengers actress Scarlett Johannson alongside the Superman v Batman star Henry Cavill. The Black Widow and Superman coming together in an ad campaign is certainly a big lure to fans of both superhero stars.

The ad campaign is set to show the quality photographic capabilities of their new mobile – created in the partnership between Huawei and Leica – boasting dual lens 12-megapixel cameras, which they hope will hit the market ahead of the usual competition from Apple and Samsung. According to Huawei, their new product will “reinvent smartphone photography.”

In a mixture of black and white and color, the teaser ad is a provocative blend of both Scarlett and Cavil, sure to make for a successful ad campaign once up and running for fans of both actors.

While Johannson makes for an attractive female to Henry Cavill’s male, she opened up recently to admit that even she has problems with relationships at times. Like most of us, she has experienced the emotionally unavailable partner and looks back in regret.

While Scarlett is now happily married to Romain Dauriac, with whom she has a daughter, Rose Dorothy, there were times when the 31-year-old actress had someone in her life who was “forever unavailable… but, like, so attractively unavailable.”

The Independent quotes an interview Johansson recently had with Cosmopolitan about damaging relationships, where Scarlett opened up honestly, saying, “You have to get to your breaking point.”

“Rock bottom is the moment when you’re like, ‘I’ve lost myself. Why am I standing outside this bar at 1:30 in the morning texting while my friends are inside? Or taking a taxi to see him at some ungodly hour? This isn’t me.”

She added, “That is the moment you’ve gotta cut it off. Otherwise, it will keep coming back, suck your blood.”

Speaking loving relationships and Scarlett, Johansson has also recently spoken about why her marriage to Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds didn’t work out. While admitting that on the whole that celebrity marriages can be difficult, competition between two actors and their careers can prove very challenging.

Johansson said the logistics of two actors being together makes it difficult to share time together, especially if both halves of the relationship are busy and their careers are traveling forward at the same rate. What can make things even worse is if one-half of the couple is more successful than the other, as the competition can get pretty tough.

While the report didn’t directly say this was the case in the marriage of Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds, the hint was implied.

She said, “Acting is a very strange world to be co-existing in. It’s very volatile. There’s always going to be the more successful person. It’s related to rejection. Because actors, if they’re not having success, connect it directly to unpopularity — to the fact that nobody wants them. It’s not necessarily true. I’m constantly rejected.”

“[Marriage] takes a lot of work. It takes a man who’s not only confident in the love that you have for one another, but confident in what he has going on in his own career. He has to be in a field that’s completely different from yours.”

Now that Johansson is married to French journalist husband Dauriac, hopefully love will run smoothly for the popular star.
