‘The 100’ Season 3: Why Alie Is Determined To Keep Raven – Lindsay Morgan Teases Raven Surviving Alie’s Attack

The 100 is a post-apocalyptic TV show, so it’s understandable that deaths will occur. However, fans were stunned when Lexa (Alycia Debnam-Carey) and Lincoln (Ricky Whittle) died tragically in Season 3. Many viewers are concerned that Raven (Lindsay Morgan) could be next. However, the actress recently teased that Raven may survive Alie’s (Erica Cerra) attack. In an interview during WonderCon, The 100 actress also explained why Alie is so determined to keep Raven.

At WonderCon, Lindsay Morgan explained why Alie wants to keep Raven so badly even though there are many other humans available. As fans speculated, the more minds Alie controls, the more powerful the A.I. becomes. However, that isn’t the only thing that gives Alie power. Due to Raven’s high intelligence, it makes her even more of a target. Alie has experienced just how smart Raven is, and there is no way that she intends to let that amount of power escape. Lindsay stated that Alie has absolutely no intention of letting Raven go free. In fact, Alie will do everything in her power to stop Raven from fighting back.

According to IGN, creator Jason Rothenberg also stated that Alie was not counting on Raven using her mind against the A.I. However, the showrunner offered another clue as to why Alie is so focused on Raven. Rothenberg explained that Raven was chosen because of her position in Arkadia. But what was not considered was Raven’s tenacity and her incredible mental strength.

For fans of The 100 that are concerned about Raven dying, it sounds like the character might survive Alie’s attack. Lindsay didn’t say whether Raven lives or dies in The 100. However, Morgan did give a little hint that Raven may survive.

“Raven is fighting back in a way Alie has never witnessed before,” Lindsay Morgan said at WonderCon regarding Raven and Alie’s struggle. “She’s never had such a strength fight with her and because Raven is so resourceful, she goes to some pretty crazy lengths to fight her. You’re going to see what she has to do.”

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, the extended promo for The 100 Season 3, Episode 11 reveals that Clarke and the other Sky People will be determined to save Raven. Spoiler TV posted the extended promo, and Clarke is seen holding something as the camera zooms to the back of Raven’s neck. Clarke’s crazy idea may kill her, but it seems more likely that it just might save Raven’s life.

The 100 actress could not reveal what happens between Raven and Alie. However, Lindsay did say that since Jaha (Isaiah Washington), Abby (Paige Turco) and others are now on Alie’s side, Raven will feel very alone. Due to Alie being in Raven’s mind, this really is a battle that the character has to fight on her own. However, Morgan also hinted that Raven will become stronger because of her friends.

Unfortunately, most of Arkadia is now under Alie’s control. First, Alie needed Jaha to spread the word and he certainly did that. Then, Raven’s desperation to be free from pain was used to Alie’s advantage. As fans may remember, Alie was quite insistent that she needed Raven on her team. Even before she took the chip, Alie could sense that Raven was different from the other residents at Arkadia. As Alie gained more followers, there was one more person that Alie needed, and that was Clarke’s (Eliza Taylor) mother, Abby. It would be Abby’s responsibility to get the rest of Arkadia to take the chip, which caused the community to fall. Now the questions are what exactly is “phase two” and how will the Sky People fight the A.I. while saving Raven at the same time?

What do you think of what Lindsay Morgan had to say about why Alie refuses to free Raven? Do you believe that she will survive Alie’s attack? Or will Raven be the next character to die in The 100?
