‘Iron Fist’: ‘Minority Report’ Actor Arleo Dordar Might Have Joined The Cast For The Netflix Series [Rumor]

Netflix and Marvel’s Iron Fist has confirmed Finn Jones as the lead, and now rumors claim that Minority Report actor Arleo Dordar has also joined the cast, reports MCU Exchange. At this point, it is only considered a rumor and unofficial because neither Marvel nor Netflix have come forward to confirm the casting news.

At the same time, if Arleo Dordar will appear in Iron Fist, they certainly would not have let the actor spill the beans on social media without their explicit permission. The actor recently shared an Instagram photo, showing off his new hairdo, and insinuating that he’s headed for the set of Iron Fist. Dordar even added a bunch of hashtags, none of which reveal what character he is playing.

“Power Man” was also one of the hashtags, which could possibly mean that we could see Mike Colter (Luke Cage) appear on Iron Fist, as it has already been rumored and suggested that Finn Jones’ Danny Rand/Iron Fist will appear in the final episode of Luke Cage Season 1. Not very much to go on at all, but it is fun to think about.

The character description on the casting call has whatever character Arleo Dordar might be playing named Devon, which is more than likely just a placeholder and not the actual name of the character. It may be Davos, also known as the Steel Serpent in Marvel Comics, often an enemy of Iron Fist.

Character Name: DEVON

“25 – 30 yrs old, male, please submit Asian, East Indian, Pacific Islander, etc., handsome, effortlessly-powerful, an intelligent, thoughtful warrior.

“PLEASE NOTE IF TALENT HAS MARTIAL ARTS TRAINING / EXPERIENCE. (Series Regular.)”

With that very specific description, Arleo Dordar would appear to be an appropriate pick. On top of that, not only is he an actor, but Arleo is also a professional acrobat, as well as professional martial artist. That definitely confirms that he will be participating in some of the show’s fight sequences. Dordar is also a stuntman and has a black belt in karate Kyokushin Kai, a black belt in Judo, a black belt in Taekwondo, and has even professionally competed in MMA.

Audition tapes for the character of Davos made their way online, and some bits of dialogue help paint a better picture of the character dynamic between “Davos” and Danny Rand.

“Davos: I should be so lucky to be like you, and not a precious snowflake like you who goes wherever the wind may take him. An honorable man who sees his goal and does everything he can to cheat that goal no matter the cost.

“Danny: When you have one eye on the goal, and one on the power.

“Davos: Don’t give me that second bull****, you were given this gift.

“Danny: I wasn’t given anything, what I have, I fought for, I earned it.

“Davos: Yeah, right, earned it, you earned it, when things got what, confusing, hard? You took what wasn’t yours, what was rightfully mine, and ran away. Who does that? Why?

“Davos: That’s why you don’t deserve anything, you have no honor, no sense of place in the world. In heart of hearts, you know what you are? A thief, a coward, if you have any honor at all, you’ll return what never should have been yours.”

In the Netflix series Daredevil, “Steel Serpent” is a brand name for heroin that is sold and supplied by Madam Gao, a drug lord who has associated with Wilson Fisk. The symbol of the Steel Serpent is that of a wingless dragon tattoo, which can be seen stamped on packages of the heroin. It’s safe to assume that Steel Serpent himself will appear in Iron Fist, whether Arleo Dordar is playing him or not, and the producers have carefully woven in connections between all of the Netflix/Marvel show’s so far.

Iron Fist will also feature confirmed actress Jessica Henwick for the role of Colleen Wing. Production on the Netflix series will begin this month. Charlie Cox (Daredevil) has said that filming on the miniseries The Defenders will begin this fall.
