NFL rumors are swirling around Johnny Manziel. He was recently captured by TMZ for a quick interview. Trying hard to show that he has a sense of humor, the former Cleveland Browns quarterback downplayed his issues and tried to convince people that playing in the National Football League was his biggest priority. Manziel told the public that he was trying to get his life back in order by moving in with Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller. According to NBC Sports, Johnny might be lying to everyone.

One of the more interesting things about the interview done by Johnny Manziel is that he specifically stated that he and Von Miller were both trying to get their lives back on track. People are scoffing at that statement because Miller is pretty much well off. Not only did he win the Super Bowl earlier in the year, he’s about to become one of the highest-paid players in the NFL.

Von Miller is currently being housed by the production team of Dancing With the Stars. The company has stated that Johnny Manziel is not living under their roof.

There was a point in time where people questioned whether or not Von Miller was going to be able to stay in the NFL. Back in 2013, he was suspended by the league office because he was caught cheating on the drug test with one of the people who administer the program. Miller has managed to get through that situation and stayed out of trouble. That’s why the Denver Broncos aren’t hesitant to sign Von to a multiple-year contract.

As of right now, Von Miller and the Denver Broncos cannot come to an agreement on a long-term deal. The two sides are having issues about the yearly salary. Miller wants to be the highest-paid player in the NFL. The outside linebacker is actually asking to be paid as well as top flight quarterbacks. The money is the issue, but the long-term deal is something that the Broncos want to get done because they believe in Miller on the field.

Johnny Manziel does not have the same level of trust from NFL teams as Von Miller does with the Denver Broncos. Many executives are still questioning whether or not football is a priority for the former Texas A&M Aggies star. He seems much more focused on partying and getting into trouble than he is about finding a new home in the National Football League.

Von Miller has been trying to help Johnny Manziel find another gig in the NFL. The two of them both played for the Texas A&M Aggies. They weren’t teammates, however. Miller left school before Manziel joined the team. Miller stayed close with his college team, though. That’s how he formed a bond with the troubled but talented quarterback. Miller has even campaigned for the Denver Broncos to sign Johnny.

Since he’s a free agent and the team wants badly to have him back to anchor the defense, Von Miller holds a good amount of leverage over the Denver Broncos. Reports had surfaced that head coach Gary Kubiak has already met with Johnny Manziel. The franchise has downplayed the meeting and is claiming that a contract signing isn’t very likely, it says a lot that they even bothered to meet with a guy that is close with Miller.

As sad as the Johnny Manziel stories have been over the past couple of years, he’s still going to generate interest in the NFL because the league needs quality quarterbacks. When his head is on straight, Manziel has shown that he is good enough to play in the National Football League. A team like the Denver Broncos might be desperate enough for a quarterback that they might be willing to give Manziel another chance.
