‘Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them’ Just Released A Trailer And It Looks Magical

Harry Potter fans should all be happy today, as they are finally getting to see what would be offered in the long-awaited Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Eddie Redmayne, the lead actor for the role of Scamander in the movie Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, made an appearance at the MTV Movie Awards. Redmayne’s aim was to provide a treat to the fan, providing the first legitimate sneak peek of the movie.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is somewhat of a prequel to the Harry Potter series, and Potter fans have been long awaiting the release of this movie.

The MTV Movie Awards turned the set into 1920’s New York City, the setting for Fantastic Beasts. Men in tuxedos and top hats pranced around with briefcases before the fantastic Eddie appeared in a cloud of smoke. That is an entrance expected for such a magical show. Redmayne then presented his introduction to the trailer of the film.

“Myself and the rest of the cast had such an astounding time getting to leap back into the world of J.K. Rowling’s imagination. And I’m properly excited to share with you tonight just a wee glimpse of what’s in store this November.”

Fantastic Beasts teaser trailer began with images of a riff on that now-infamous Harry Potter music and flashes of Eddie’s Newt Scamander tinkering in his lab in the Big Apple.

“You’re an interesting man, Mr. Scamander,” whispered the narrator. “Just like your suitcase, there’s much more to you than meets the eye. Kicked out of Hogwarts for endangering human life with a beast, yet one of your teachers are strongly against your expulsion.”

We see Newt leaving England and boarding a steam ship, as the narrator asks “Now what makes Albus Dumbledore so fond of you, Mr. Scamander?”

The rest of the clip is definitely different that what we are used to seeing in the Harry Potter world, the first is the mere fact that the movie is set in New York City. There are, however, similarities like the moving newspaper images, for one.

There is limited information on Eddie Newt but this trailer has revealed a few key points about the main character in Fantastic Beasts. Eddie precedes Harry as it relates to having Albus Dumbledore having a liking for him. Eddie also appears to belong to Hufflepuff as a glimpse inside his suitcase reveals the yellow scarf for Hufflepuff. Lastly and most importantly we find out that Eddie’s obsession with beast lead to his expulsion from Hogwarts.

J.K Rowling has been highly invested into Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, not only is she the author of the book, but she also wrote the screenplay for the movie. Rowling is also a producer for the movie alongside Neil Blair, Steve Kloves, Lionel Wigram, and David Heyman.

November is still a long way, but this Fantastic Beasts trailer should keep the Harry Potter fans satisfied for now. As the time for the release of Fantastic Beasts draws near their will be more official trailers released, and we will truly get a better idea of what to expected from the wizarding world in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
