La’Porsha Renae Of ‘American Idol’ Doesn’t Believe In LGBT Lifestyle
La’Porsha Renae of American Idol had a ton of fans, but she may have just lost a few with a recent comment that she made about her thoughts on the LGBT lifestyle. During a recent media conference, La’Porsha Renae shared her opinion on the LGBT lifestyle and she is not a fan at all. Jezebel shared what La’Porsha had to say about her thoughts and some of the people hearing this are not happy.

During the last ever finale of American Idol, La’Porsha Renae lost to Trent Harmon. A lot of fans were disappointed, but it is obvious that her career is still going to work out. La’Porsha was a fan favorite during the entire season and a lot of people expected her to win. Her home state recently signed an anti-LGBT law and so La’Porsha was asked her thoughts on it. This interview was supposed to be all about singing. Here was what La’Porsha had to say about her thoughts.
“This is how I feel about the LGBT community: They are people just like us. They’re not animals as someone stated before. They’re people with feelings. Although all of us may not agree with that particular lifestyle for religious reasons, whatever the reason is, you still treat each other with respect. Everybody is a human being. We should be able to coexist with one another.”
It is very obvious that La’Porsha doesn’t have a problem with people in the LGBT lifestyle, but she doesn’t agree with it After that comment, La’Porsha Renae went on to share more of her thoughts about people who are LGBT.
“I am one of the people who don’t really agree with that lifestyle. I wasn’t brought up that way. It wasn’t how I was raised. But I do have a lot of friends and a lot of people that I love dearly who are gay and homosexual and they’re such sweet, nice people. We should just respect each other’s differences and opinions and move on.”

La’Porsha Renae is now speaking out and saying that her comments didn’t come out the way that she meant it. She upset a lot of people and since then, La’Porsha is trying to make sure people aren’t too upset with her. Billboard revealed what La’Porsha is saying now. La’Porsha didn’t mean to hurt anyone at all with the comments that she made. She went to Periscope to talk about it and La’Porsha said she gets why people were upset when they read what she had to say, but she wasn’t trying to offend anyone.
La’Porsha Renae said that the question caught her off guard and the interview became political. She is not a political person at all. La’Porsha apologized for upsetting anyone with that comment. She wants everyone to understand it was not meant that way at all. Hopefully she doesn’t lose too many fans over it, considering she has plans for an album to come out soon. La’Porsha Renae didn’t win the final season of AmericanIdol, but that isn’t going to keep her down.
