Miranda Lambert Gets ‘Red Carpet Revenge’ On Blake Shelton As Anderson East Romance Gets Serious
Miranda Lambert and Anderson East hit the red carpet at the Academy of Country Music Awards over the weekend, and according to a report, the 32-year-old got “red carpet revenge.”
Nearly one year after splitting from ex-husband Blake Shelton, who was also in attendance during the event, Miranda Lambert debuted her new romance with East, an R&B singer from Alabama on the red carpet.

Miranda Lambert was married to Shelton for four years before parting ways in July 2015. Five months later, it was reported that the country singer was dating East, and in January 2016, Miranda Lambert confirmed her new romance with a photo of herself and East cuddling on Instagram.
Following the confirmation of their romance, Miranda Lambert posted a couple of East-related posts on social media, and in February, she surprised the audience with an impromptu performance during one of East’s shows. Since then, however, the couple kept a low profile until they posed for photos on the red carpet earlier this month.
“The country star stole the spotlight at the star-studded event, showing off her killer curves on the red carpet in a yellow, silk Christian Siriano gown with a plunging neckline and a sky-high slit,” the outlet continued. “[Miranda Lambert] completed her show-stopped ensemble with pink satin Joyce Echols heels with a mini gun and holster design on the side and her new boyfriend, Anderson East, on her arm.”

During the Academy of Country Music Awards, Miranda Lambert didn’t appear to run into her ex-husband, but she was likely unable to avoid his performance of “Came Here To Forget,” which is said to be in regard to their divorce and his new romance with Gwen Stefani. In the song, Shelton talks about drinking with a new female companion, who is also newly single, as he attempts to put his breakup behind him.
Just weeks before Miranda Lambert’s romance with Anderson was reported, Shelton went public with his relationship with Stefani as they filmed Season 9 of The Voice. At the time, Stefani, like Shelton, had just gotten divorced.
During the recent awards show, said an E! News source, East “was a little nervous” about walking the red carpet with Miranda Lambert, but at the same time, he was “so happy to be there by Miranda’s side.”
East has a “crazy connection” with Miranda Lambert, the source told E! News. “Whenever they are together they act like two free spirits…Miranda adores Anderson. They understand each other. Anderson has given Miranda this confidence she hasn’t felt in some time. They are very supportive with each other and their careers.”
Currently, both Miranda Lambert and East are busy performing their songs for audiences around the county, and Miranda Lambert is also working on a new album. When it comes to each other, they’ve reportedly made the time needed to embark on a committed relationship with one another.
“Anderson and [Miranda Lambert] are serious,” added a source. “They have met both sides of their families. Both their families love what they have. They seem like they are in such a great place. They spend so much time together. They are also very involved with Miranda’s animals. That’s a big part of her life and Anderson is a huge animal lover.”
