Charlie Sheen Threats Lead To Restraining Order For Scottine Ross

Charlie Sheen has a temper. This much is known probably more than the actor would like, and it seems Sheen just doesn’t know when to keep quiet.

Once again, Charlie’s hot temper has landed him in trouble. It was bad enough that Sheen lost his long-time gig as Charlie Harper on Two and a Half Men due to his explosive personality, but now Sheen’s words have actually landed him in legal trouble.

Anger Management Star Charlie Sheen Becomes Focus Of A Temporary Restraining Order

Since revealing his H.I.V. positive status, Sheen has become embroiled in a court battle with ex-fiancee and ex-porn star Scottine Ross, who is suing Charlie for not disclosing his H.I.V. status, during the course of their relationship. In full, Scottine’s suit against Sheen alleges assault, battery, false imprisonment, negligence, and intentional infliction of emotional distress for failing to disclose he was H.I.V. positive and placing her at risk.

The lawsuit took an unexpected twist with the revelation that Mr. Sheen had made threats of physical violence against Ms. Ross and that those threats were recorded and sold to tabloid sites RadarOnline and The National Enquirer. The recordings were subsequently posted on the sites. Ms. Ross identified the voice as that of Charlie Sheen and that voice stated he would rather pay someone to kick Scottine in the head than pay her in an out of court settlement.

“Fearing for her safety, the LAPD was contacted, and she got a protective order to keep Sheen away,” attorney for Ms. Ross, David Ring, said. “She knows what he is capable of … she was scared for her life.”

The threat was enough to award Ms. Ross a temporary restraining order against Sheen, as she told a Los Angeles Superior Court judge that she feared for her safety.

In her lawsuit, Scottine alleges that Charlie often abused her physically and emotionally, while either intoxicated or under the influence of narcotics. Ms. Ross also asserts that, during car rides, Sheen held an unloaded gun to her head and repeatedly pulled the trigger.

“He never kicked, choked, dragged, shook, or struck [her] and he never threatened to kill her or forced her to have an abortion, as she wildly alleges,” said Martin D. Singer, Sheen’s attorney.

The Investigation Into Charlie Sheen’s Threats Hits A Snag

It seems Charlie is finally getting some good advice from his lawyers, because Sheen has not yet publicly commented on anything that has transpired in relation to the lawsuit initiated by Scottine Ross, who also goes by the name Brett Rossi. The closest Sheen has come to addressing Rossi’s allegations was a 2015 interview, just after Charlie revealed his H.I.V. positive status. In the interview, Sheen admitted to struggling with addiction to both alcohol and drugs and said that it was “impossible” for him to have passed H.I.V. on to anyone else.

Meanwhile, Los Angeles police are running up against a wall in their efforts to serve a warrant to American Media Inc, which owns both RadarOnline and the National Enquirer. The court-ordered warrant specifies the video in which Sheen allegedly threatens Ms. Ross, but American Media is refusing to comply with the order to hand over the recording.

“We do believe that a judge did issue this order against the law, and that’s why we will not be complying with its order,” said Dylan Howard, the Enquirer‘s editor-in-chief and editorial director of RadarOnline.

Howard specifies that the search warrant is illegal, because state and federal laws prohibit the confiscation of “newsworthy” items from media outlets. He further said that in addition to refusing to turn over the Charlie Sheen recording, he would also not provide the identity of his source.
