West Ham United hosts Arsenal in a noontime match that will stream live from London Saturday, with both teams needing a win to determine their fates in the remainder of the Barclays Premier League 2015-2016 season. For Arsenal, a win keeps their title hopes alive.
For West Ham, a loss means that the the club’s dream of achieving its first-ever berth in the UEFA Champions League will certainly die on the spot. The Hammers sit in sixth place on the Premier League table with 51 points, two behind Manchester United and only three off the pace set by Manchester City, who hold the fourth and final Champions League qualification spot.

City host 11th-place West Brom later on Saturday, and if the visitors can pull of the upset while West Ham somehow manage to top Arsenal, the Hammers would find themselves tied on points for fourth place, at least temporarily — though Manchester City has an edge of 12 in goal difference going into the weekend.
The surprising season by West Ham has been propelled by the rise of French international Dimitri Payet, who has netted nine goals in 24 games for the club this season.
But beating Arsenal at Upton Park could be an uphill battle for West Ham, who have not defeated the Gunners at home since November 5 of 2006 — and have not even managed a draw against Arsenal there since October 25 of 2009.
The London Derby will be the 133rd meeting of the two teams, going back to 1906. Arsenal lead the 110-year series 61 to 34, with 37 draws.
But when West Ham visited the Emirates to open the Barclays Premier League season back on August 9 of last year, they managed a stunning 2-0 victory.

Midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate returns to the starting XI for West Ham, who will boast a full-strength side for the crucial match.
Arsenal sit 11 points behind league-leading Leicester City, but with a game in hand. The Gunners have seven left to play compared to six for the table toppers. A win for Arsenal over West Ham couple with what would be a shocking loss to relegation-battling Sunderland for Leicester would at least give Arsenal hope of staging a late run at their first Premier League championship since 2004.
