Luann De Lesseps Is Planning To Keep Her Money: Prenup In Place?

Luann de Lesseps is back for another season of The Real Housewives of New York, and during the first episode, de Lesseps revealed that she was traveling back and forth between the city and the Hamptons. And while fans didn’t meet her new boyfriend, Thomas D’Agostino, on the Real Housewives of New York premiere, it sounds like things will quickly escalate because he does propose to her while she’s filming the show.

According to a new Bravo report, Luann de Lesseps has already thought about the marriage and how she plans on handling the assets and their individual fortunes. Fans don’t know much about Thomas, but it sounds like he’s very successful and may want to keep his own money. And de Lesseps is now revealing that she isn’t going against him for his money and isn’t marrying him to get his fortune.

“Well, you know, he’s a very accomplished person, and I have two children and a lot of assets, so we definitely will have a prenup, absolutely,” Luann revealed in an interview with Jenny McCarthy during her SiriusXM show Tuesday, revealing that she does plan on signing the agreement before getting married. “What’s yours is yours, and what’s mine is mine. That’s it,” she said.

And it sounds like Luann doesn’t mind prenups, as she also had one with her first husband. When she joined the show for the first season, Luann de Lesseps was happily married to the Count, but when they divorced in 2009, a prenup ensured that they could keep things civil. As it turns out, Luann would like to do the same thing here.

“I’m not like that, I’ll tell you. That’s why I have a great relationship with my ex-husband. I never went after him. He was a gentleman, and when we separated, he gave me assets, and he kept certain assets, but he was generous,” Luann explained of her first marriage to Count Alexandre de Lesseps, adding, “And so, you know, I feel like I was very lucky. I was married to a wonderful guy for 16 years. I have two great children. We still have a great relationship.”

As it turns out, this past summer has been all about her children. de Lesseps did meet her future husband while filming the show, but it sounds like she’s been busy getting her son ready for college. Since Luann de Lesseps is a single mother to two children, it is very possible that they won’t be on the show, as they are busy with their own lives. As de Lesseps explains, her children are becoming adults and they are busy with their college careers.

I’ve seen a lot of the women since we last aired, and I assure you that this season is going to be a fabulous ride.
