‘Vanderpump Rules’ Ariana Madix Cuts Kristen Doute Out Of Her Life

Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix is officially cutting ties with Kristen Doute.

Although the two women were never friends, the Vanderpump Rules star has just announced that she is no longer allowing herself to be around Doute, who she claims plots against others.

“It’s a healthy thing to set boundaries for yourself,” 30-year-old Madix revealed to Life & Style magazine on April 7. “I just don’t want to be around somebody who has that capability to plot against other people.”

During the first two seasons of Vanderpump Rules, Doute was involved in a troubled relationship with Tom Sandoval, whom she’d dated prior to the show, but by the end of Season 2, their relationship became strained, as accusations of infidelity on both sides were made. According to Doute, Sandoval began seeing Madix prior to their split, but according to Sandoval, he did no such thing. Meanwhile, it was revealed that Doute slept with Jax Taylor, who is one of Sandoval’s closest friends.

Throughout Season 3 of Vanderpump Rules, Madix and Doute often butted heads, and at one point, Doute joked about Madix’s possible death by train. Then, in an odd turn, Season 4 rolled around and Doute attempted to make amends.

After seeing therapy after the third season of Vanderpump Rules, which saw Doute get fired from SUR Lounge, Doute approached Madix at SUR Lounge, where she works as a bartender, and apologized for the things she’s said and done in the past. Unfortunately for Doute, however, Madix was unreceptive.

As for Doute’s apology during Vanderpump Rules Season 4, Madix claimed, “It’s just self-serving manipulation.”

In November, 2015, just as the fourth season of Vanderpump Rules premiered, Sandoval spoke to Reality Tea about how it had been working at SUR Lounge after Doute was fired.

“There’s definitely a lot of drama there, but the good thing about it is I feel like me and Ariana have definitely been able to steer clear of Kristen a lot better. But there will always be issues with Kristen. As much as we try to avoid it, it’s just impossible,” he said at the time. “I mean, even though she’s been fired from SUR, and she’s been banned from SUR – and PUMP at times – she still always finds a way to come around. It’s just something we have to deal with, and it sucks. I guess it’s good for viewers, but it sucks for us!”

Sandoval also said he often found himself apologizing to Madix for the drama Doute had caused.

“There were times last season when I was like ‘I am soooo sorry my ex girlfriend is so crazy.’ Like, I felt horrible, and still do at times,” he admitted. “Kristen has a way, too, of infiltrating anyone I’m friends with. She has a way of going so unbelievably far out of her way to be friends with that person. She went back to to St. Louis [Tom’s hometown] and hit up my best friend, Ali, relentlessly until the point where he pretty much felt forced to hang out with her. He just literally ran out of excuses and could not get away from her. And he’s like my brother — I’ve known him since I was a kid! We are really, really tight. And Kristen just hits him up relentlessly. I’m like: Dude!”
