Kandi Burruss Stands By Todd Tucker: ‘I Understood His Frustration’

Kandi Burruss really wanted to work out her friendship with Phaedra Parks when The Real Housewives of Atlanta started, and it sounds like she tried everything possible to understand where her friend was coming from. But at the reunion special, Kandi was frustrated that their friendship was in trouble, and her husband, Todd Tucker, also had a few words to share with Parks. Todd did say that Phaedra should be less worried about what he’s working on and should have been more worried about her husband’s business dealings. Apollo Nida was caught running fraudulent businesses and was sentenced to eight years behind bars.

According to a new Bravo report, Kandi Burruss is now revealing that she understands her husband’s frustrations, and she’s standing by him no matter what. Burruss understands that her husband is frustrated with Parks, who seemed to be very eager to point out his mistakes without talking about her own husband. And Burruss revealed that she understands why her husband is so defensive.

“You never want your husband to argue with any woman, but I understood his frustration. I’m glad it is over with and we don’t have to talk about it anymore,” Kandi revealed to Bravo after watching the last installment of the reunion show.

During this episode, the husbands came out to join the ladies on stage, and Todd was furious about Phaedra Parks’ accusations.

Kandi was frustrated that Parks was pushing her out of her life, and she kept saying things about Todd behind Kandi’s back. Phaedra really wanted people to know that Todd hadn’t finished her workout tape and she was paying him all kinds of fees and sums, but she didn’t have the final copy. Todd’s argument has been that she hasn’t paid the final fees.

“I get frustrated having these conversations in front of everyone. I do care about our friendship. That’s why I’m emotional about it. And because I care, I still won’t say certain things that would make her look bad. Even though I feel like I’ve been made to look like the bad guy. I’m trying not to be that ‘mad day’ person that I’ve talked about in the past, meaning a person who was once your friend that starts telling your secrets when they’re mad. I don’t like when other people do that, so I don’t want to be like that. The whole thing is just frustrating knowing that there is only so much I can say to defend myself publicly,” Kandi Burruss revealed about her friendship with Phaedra, sharing that she’s really tired of talking about it all.

Of course, Phaedra is very good at passing the blame. On The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Parks talked about Kandi behind her back, including her tension with Todd. So when Don and Carmon heard her talking about Kandi behind her back, they came to her defense. And rather than take responsibility for her actions, Parks blamed Kandi’s team for the trouble. But Burruss doesn’t see it that way, according to Bravo.

“No, I’m not blood related to Don and Carmon, but we are like family and we have each other’s back like family as well. So if somebody is in front of my video release party telling lies about my husband or talking sh– about the video, then I would expect the people who care about me would speak up and check them. Which is what happened, and I do not have a problem with it,” Burruss explains about her core team, who defended her when Parks was talking about Burruss behind her back.

What do you think of Kandi Burruss supporting her husband? Do you think Todd has a right to be upset with Phaedra?
