Nicki Minaj: Meek Mill Break-Up And Other Shocking Revelations On ‘Ellen’ Point To A More Mature Nicki
When Nicki Minaj went on Ellen last night, she and Ellen Degeneres celebrated the release of Facebook Live by answering questions being asked by fans over the internet service. The format was conducive to finding out some new information about Minaj, but the audience was not expecting the bombshells Nicki dropped in response to some of the questions that may hint at a new and more mature version of Nicki Minaj.
Possibly the most shocking piece of information Nicki revealed was that she wants to distance herself from Meek Mill, whom she has been dating for over a year now. People even thought Mill and Minaj had been toying with the idea of engagement up until Ellen asked her about the romance last night. Her response pretty much put a damper on that idea.
“We’re still figuring each other out. In fact, I don’t even want to say I’m in a relationship anymore, because I think when people hear that they go to a mean place… Now, just going back to saying, you know what, I’m single.”
Nicki continued, getting more existential with her reply as it went on.
“Honestly, you know what, he and I are just two souls right now, just passing through the universe and I don’t know what’s going to happen. And I’ve just learned over the years to just let things be and come and go as they’re going to come and go.”
Minaj went on to refer to Mill as “this boy that likes me,” not exactly the most affectionate term for a loving beau.

But the news about her and Meek Mill’s very tenuous relationship status was not even the most significant sentiment that Nicki Minaj voiced during the show.
She also said that she is entering a new chapter of her life in which she wants to be nicer and more conscientious to those around her when asked if she ever regrets her past feuds with fellow celebrities like Miley Cyrus, Lil’ Kim, and Mariah Carrey.

“Yeah, all the time,” Minaj replied. “All my feuds I regret, because I’m a sweet person, and I don’t wanna be mean to people.”
She is shedding Meek Mill, regretting her past catty behavior with other female stars… could this be the dawn of a new and more mature Nicki Minaj?
When she was asked when fans could expect a “little Nicki,” for example, she responded with some of her trademark sass.
“When I walk down a little aisle and wear a little white dress,” Minaj said with a few snaps of her fingers.
Nicki also answered questions concerning sexting mishaps, her nighttime routine, and her most creative moment.
Minaj was asked what her favorite body part is, but the recorded Q&A, which is the only part of the show that has already gone up online, was cut off before Nicki could deliver an answer. Viewers have to tune in when the actual show debuts tonight to hear Minaj’s answer!
