Oscar Mayer Wienermobile crashes into a house in Wisconsin

Someone crashed the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile into a house in Racine, Wisconsin on Friday morning!

According to witnesses, the weinermobile was stopped in the driveway of the house and the driver was preparing to leave, but instead of putting the vehicle in reverse, they had the transmission in drive. The driver hit the gas and lurched forward, smashing into the house.

There was extensive damage to the house. The garage door was smashed, the deck above was destroyed and the accident actually cracked the home’s foundation.

The weinermobile was damaged as well, with a broken windshield and side windows, a mirror hanging off, some paint damage and a few dents. Nick Krupp, the homeowner, was not in the house at the time of the crash and neither the driver or passenger were injured, except maybe for a bruised ego.

Oscar Mayer, the company who owns the giant hotdog on wheels, says their insurance company will be paying for all repairs that need to be done to the damaged house.
