Kylie Jenner Fans Criticize ‘Paper’ Cover Photo, Say She Looks Like ‘Pepe The Frog’

Kylie Jenner was certainly excited about appearing on the cover of Paper magazine.

She posted the picture of her cover on Instagram and wrote an enthusiastic caption, “Wow wow wow my @papermagazine COVER (????) on newsstands 4/12. This is so amazing. Photographed by @erikmadiganheck styled by @rushkabergman #YOUth (and yes my eyes and lips are edited to look bigger)????”

So, there. Kylie made sure people did not accuse her of getting plastic surgery.

But it didn’t seem like the fans liked the cover all that much. There were a bunch of mean comments that were being posted.

“This is horrible omg????????????” said one.

“Not a cute pic,” said another.

“U look like a bug,” complained a fan.

“Looks like the pepe frog,” said another caustic comment.

Do you think Kylie’s cover failed to connect with the fans it was meant for?

Kylie later posted more pictures that got the same criticism from her fans.

“She looks like Kendall here!” said one follower.

Well, it’s certainly not good news when one Kardashian looks like another. The two pictures have only slightly more than half a million “likes.” That’s unlike a Kylie Instagram post, given that most of her popular pictures have over a million “likes.” Do you think appearing on the cover of Paper magazine was a bad decision for Kylie Jenner?

The Mirror reported that Kylie was criticized for looking plastic in the cover shoot. The social media backlash was crude.

“I would’ve liked Kylie’s paper mag cover if they didn’t edit her eyes and lips.”

“This is the scariest thing ive seen all day,” another added.

She also participated in a Twitter interview hosted by the magazine, where she talked about her insecurities and fears. Paper magazine says she was very insecure about her thin lips. That’s something Kylie Jenner has talked about again and again. She has never hidden from her fans that she uses fillers for her lips.

“I still do Juvéderm for my lips,” Jenner, 18, told the New York Times. “He’s the best, and he’s super natural about it. I was going to somebody before, and it was just looking crazy. I would recommend that anyone who gets it done go for a filler that lasts only two to four months. It’s annoying to keep going back, but you have the option of stopping it.”

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star said she fears people would think she is “super fake,” when asked, “What is the biggest misconception you think people have about you?”

She said, “Probably that I’m just super fake and that at 16/17, I got my full face reconstructed and that I only care about materialistic things.”

And it seems like she doesn’t always dream about staying in the news all the times. She says she dreams of a life where she could be “off the radar.” Kylie went on to say that if she could be her sister Kim Kardashian for 24 hours, she would try on all the clothes in her closet. That’s as girly a wish as it can get!

She also talked candidly about when she cried the last time. The star said she may have cried from happiness.

“I think I cried at one of my launches recently of my lip kits. I had had some issues before that and I was so happy that everything went so smoothly and I was just crying so hard with my mom.”

It’s true that Kylie Jenner is doing very well for herself. Her lip kits are a big hit and her Reebok commercials have been well received. What lies ahead for the Keeping Up with the Kardashian star remains to be seen.
