Meek Mill Waiting To Drop ‘DC4’ Until Drake Releases ‘Views From The 6’? Fans Speculate Over Feud On Twitter

Meek Mill may be barred from releasing new music while serving out the remainder of his house arrest sentencing, but it looks like the Philly rapper has been hard at work on some new tracks ahead of his rumored Dreamchasers 4 release.

Just one month after filing an appeal to alter the terms of his sentencing to allow for new music releases, Meek Mill surprised fans on Tuesday by dropping his new track, “Trap Vibes,” which features a mashup of Drake’s “Summer Sixteen” diss track and Desiigner’s “Panda.”

Not surprisingly, Meek Mill’s “Trap Vibes” dropped within hours of the release of Drake’s two new singles, “One Dance” featuring Wizkid & Kyla and “Pop Style” featuring The Throne, prompting fans to debate over whether or not Meek Mill may be planning to sabotage Drake by dropping his DC4 mixtape on the same day that the Toronto rapper debuts his highly anticipated Views From the 6 album.

The news comes just months after Meek Mill fueled rumors of a possible “Back to Back” remix release after he was heard rapping over Drake’s headline-making diss track during a New Year’s Eve listening party for his Dreamchasers 4 mixtape, Billboard reports.

While Meek Mill hasn’t confirmed whether or not the rumored “Back to Back” remix will make the final cut for DC4, Meek’s latest Drake remix only furthers speculation suggesting that Meek has plans to drop new music on the same day as Drake’s VFT6 in order to draw attention away from the “Hotline Bling” rapper’s highly anticipated album.

Meek Mill ignited rumors of a Views From the 6 sabotage back in January after he surprised fans by dropping his own Drake diss track, “War Pain,” within minutes of Drake debuting “Summer Sixteen” as the lead single off of his impending album.

Shortly after Drake debuted “Summer Sixteen” via OVO Sound Radio on January 30, Meek Mill dropped “War Pain” via his his four-track EP, 4/4 Part 2 while simultaneously adding fuel to rumors suggesting that Drake relies on a ghostwriter to help pen his chart-topping tracks, HotNewHipHop reports.

With Meek Mill having hinted that one of Drake’s ghostwriters leaked him the lyrics to the “Summer Sixteen” diss track prior to its release, fans are now interested to see whether or not Meek Mill has another surprise release planned for Drake on the same day that the rapper drops Views From the 6.

One fan speculates, “Think meek mill just waitin for drake to drop views so he can drop DC4 to ride drizzy wave,” while another adds, “I can’t wait until @drake releases views…and 20 minutes later, meek mill releases his drake diss album exclusively on Soundcloud Go.”

While there’s still no confirmation of an official release date for Views From the 6 or Dreamchasers 4, new rumors suggest that Drake will release his album in mid-April after fans pointed out that the release date for Drake’s “Pop Style” and “One Dance” singles are set for April 17 on iTunes despite having made their debut on April 5.
