Will ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Return For Season 5? Plus, Tom Sandoval On What Didn’t Air On The Reunion

The fourth season of Vanderpump Rules came to an end on Monday night, and now, talk of a fifth season has begun.

While Bravo has yet to release a statement regarding the potentially upcoming season of the Vanderpump Rules, Katie Maloney recently spoke out about whether or not she and her co-stars, including Scheana Marie, Jax Taylor, Kristen Doute, Tom Sandoval, and Ariana Madix, will be returning for a fifth season of Vanderpump Rules.

“I don’t know. I haven’t heard anything yet. Isn’t that crazy?” Maloney asked TooFab on April 4. “I mean, I’m hopeful. We’ve had a really amazing season and the ratings have been all-time highs, but we haven’t been given an official word, so fingers crossed!”

Vanderpump Rules began airing in January 2013 as a spinoff of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and ever since, it has been a hit for the network. However, throughout the series’ four seasons, there have been a few cast changes. During Season 1, the cast was made up of servers at Lisa Vanderpump’s SUR Lounge in West Hollywood, California, but since then, Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute have left the restaurant but remained on the show. And while Doute has stayed in a full-time role on Vanderpump Rules, despite not working at SUR Lounge, Schroeder took on a guest role for Season 3, and remained in the reduced role for Season 4 as Lala Kent and James Kennedy embarked on full-time positions.

In other Vanderpump Rules news, Tom Sandoval recently spoke out about what fans did not see during the recent Vanderpump Rules Season 4 reunion special.

“We’re in those chairs for a total of nine and a half hours. In that entire time, not a single time did Stassi, Scheana, Katie or Kristen have a single disagreement with each other,” Sandoval told E! News on April 4. “Anytime anything was said about any one of them, you had to talk to at least two of them.”

According to Sandoval, the Vanderpump Rules women met ahead of time, possibly to form an alliance with one another to use during taping.

“They met the day before and hung out so obviously they had some sort of alliance or agreement or whatever,” Tom continued. “Things need to be called out and addressed and I felt like at times that I was the only one who did it.”

Sandoval claimed there had been a lot said about his relationship with Doute, whom he was dating during Seasons 1 and 2 of Vanderpump Rules before she and Jax Taylor admitted to sleeping with one another, and James Kennedy also said she was unfaithful.

“I’ve gotten a lot of flack about the whole Kristen thing,” he explained to E! News. “They basically cut right to me being amped up about Kristen and that was because two weeks prior to shooting the [Vanderpump Rules Season Two] reunion, I found out that Kristen had slept with my best friend and former bandmate while we were together. It of course makes me look like I’m keeping on and keeping on but it was something James said and she denied it.”

If Vanderpump Rules does return for a fifth season, it is hard to say who would return. While it would seem highly likely for Scheana Marie, Jax Taylor, Tom Sandoval, Katie Maloney, and Kristen Doute to return to their full-time roles since the show’s start, the rest of the cast, aside from Sandoval’s girlfriend, Ariana Madix, and Maloney’s fiancé, Tom Schwartz, may be up in the air.
