Karrueche Tran Shuts Down Chris Brown Dating Rumors After April Fools’ Day Prank: ‘I Am So Single’
Karrueche Tran and Chris Brown may have sparked dating rumors following a fan-created April Fools’ Day prank last week, but it looks like Karrueche is putting an end to the recent reconciliation claims while admitting that she’s “so single” despite ongoing dating reports.
Last week, Chris Brown and Karrueche made headlines after an old photo of the former couple emerged on Twitter on April Fools’ Day, leading some fans to believe that Karrueche may have taken Brown back despite engaging in a heated Instagram feud with the singer just weeks prior.
In the photo, which appears to have initially resurfaced on Instagram, Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran can be seen locking lips while the caption for the duo’s loved-up photo reads, “BACK TOGETHER!! *fire emojis* #ChrisBrown & Karrueche just announced on snapchat that they are back together. We couldn’t be happier!! Maybe Chris will be nice @chrisbrownofficial.”

While neither Chris nor Karrueche confronted the April Fools’ Day rumors directly, Karrueche’s manager was quick to shut down the speculation via Twitter while responding to a fan’s post regarding the duo’s unlikely reunion.
“Chris Brown & Karrueche are back together & next week they’ll be fighting on Instagram again,” one fan wrote in response to the resurfaced pic of Chris and Karrueche, prompting Tran’s manager to respond with, “nope!!!!”
According to observant fans, the photo in question was actually taken back in October 2013 when Chris and Karrueche were still together, as seen in this article previously published by Hollywood Life.
Despite the growing evidence against the reunion claims, Karrueche Tran addressed the Chris Brown dating reports during an interview with Power 106 last week, telling the radio show that she’s “so single” despite the ongoing claims.
“Many people wanna know on social media, we wanna know in here as well… are you back with Chris Brown?” one of the radio hosts asked Karrueche during her segment, prompting the model to make a face before responding, “No.”
When the radio host explained that the April Fools’ Day prank caused dating claims to resurface between herself and Chris, Karrueche replied, “I am so single. So, so, so, single.”
“I’m not into anybody. I don’t have time for nobody,” Karrueche further explained of her dating status before adding, “All these guys, all these dudes ain’t…you know the rest.”
When Marques Houston, who appears alongside Karrueche in their new film A Weekend with the Family, began to ask Karrueche about the type of guys that she’s interested in, the model replied, “Clearly the wrong one!”
The news comes just two days after Karrueche and Chris Brown were spotted attending the 2016 iHeart Radio Music Awards, where Brown performed a medley of his hits, including “Liquor,” “Wrist,” “Anyway,” and his controversial “Back To Sleep (Remix)” track, which features a shout-out to Karrueche during one of Brown’s verses.
Despite speculation suggesting that Brown was planning to make headlines by shouting out his ex’s name during his performance, Chris’ show-stopping performance went off without a hitch. It’s unclear whether or not Brown and Karrueche Tran crossed paths during their attendance at the annual awards show.
In addition to his successful performance, Brown also took home the award for Best R&B Artist at Sunday night’s ceremony while seemingly referencing the recent social media backlash over his feuds with Karrueche, Zendaya, and Kehlani during his acceptance speech.

“As y’all can see,” Chris Brown noted during his speech, “I tend to not have a filter sometimes and I go off on a lot of people. But the music stays in the same direction: positivity.”
