Selena Gomez Too Happy For Ex-Boyfriend Justin Bieber, Makes Taylor Swift Concerned?
Selena Gomez expressed an inordinate amount of joy for her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber at the iHeartRadio Awards 2016. This is concerning everyone, including her bestie Taylor Swift, who is probably over the on-and-off nature of Selena and Justin’s relationship.
“She’s been linked to Charlie Puth recently, but it looks like Selena Gomez still has a lot of love for her former boyfriend Justin Bieber,” reports Metro. “The Come And Get It singer gave the Biebs a standing ovation as he accepted the Male Artist of the Year at the iHeart Radio Music Awards. Selena, who was sitting with her BFF Taylor Swift, jumped out of her seat to show her appreciation for the Love Yourself singer as he took to the stage at the ceremony on Sunday.”
Her friend Taylor Swift and her boyfriend Calvin Harris remained firmly in their seats as Justin Bieber took a bow. In fact, some have been observing that she was not ready to express her support towards whatever is happening between Selena and Justin.
“When the camera panned over to Swift’s table, she could be seen clapping for, like, a second, and then taking a swig of whatever it is that she was drinking, making it seem like she’s totally over him,” writes a Bustle writer.
Also, Calvin Harris didn’t seem too keen to give a standing ovation either, which makes the fans think that the 22-year-old singer’s performance wasn’t mindblowing.
Whatever her relationship with Bieber may be, Selena ended up having a great night despite the rumors swirling around her and her ex-boyfriend.

Although Selena was ready to give him a standing ovation, it looks like he is not in the same place. When they saw each other backstage at the iHeartRadio Awards, he chose to ignore her rather than to extend a greeting.
“An eyewitness backstage at the iHeartRadio Music Awards at The Forum in Inglewood, California, tells ET that when Gomez was on her way to take photos during the show, Bieber walked by her — but didn’t say a word, totally ignoring her as she passed,” reports Entertainment Tonight.
Either they are keeping their on-and-off relationship under the radar, or they are really over each other. Good thing that she had her bestie by her side to make the evening memorable.

In other news, Selena is continuing to kill it on the charts as her single “Hands to Myself” climbed its way up to the top.
“Selena Gomez earns her third No. 1 on Billboard’s Pop Songs radio airplay chart (dated April 16), as ‘Hands to Myself’ lifts 2-1,” reports Billboard. “The single follows leaders ‘Good for You,’ featuring A$AP Rocky, and ‘Same Old Love,’ each of which led for two weeks beginning in September and January, respectively.”
This makes the 23-year-old singer just one of the six female artists to have at least three pop songs at No. 1 from a single set. Those women are Alanis Morissette, Avril Lavigne, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and Taylor Swift.
On the other hand, her ex-boyfriend is continuing to make people angry one way or another. The Canadian singer debuted his dreads on iHeartRadio and immediately caused an uproar.
“Bieber’s consistent lack of understanding seems to underscore how much he has yet to learn about cultural appropriation,” reports MTV about his use of dreads to improve his image.
