‘RHOBH’ Yolanda Foster Enjoys Her Blessings After David Foster Divorce

Yolanda Foster and her husband, David, may have parted ways just months ago, but that’s not stopping the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills from enjoying life.

Since 2012, Yolanda Foster has been struggling to fight back against symptoms of Lyme disease, and in 2014, her symptoms worsened, leaving her unable to read, write, and watch television. And although she’s gotten much better since then, her decrease in symptoms wasn’t enough to save her marriage, and in December, 2015, she and David announced they were divorcing after just four years of marriage.

In the months after her split announcement, Yolanda Foster has been staying positive online as she continues to raise awareness for Lyme disease and enjoys time with her friends and family.

“When life gives you a hundred reasons to cry, remember that GOD has given you a thousand reasons to smile……… #Sunset #CountingMyBlessings #Tahiti,” Yolanda Foster wrote on Instagram on April 3, along with a photo from her latest vacation to Tahiti.

Yolanda Foster also shared a photo of herself and a friend in the clear blue Tahiti water, along with the caption, “Blessed and grateful for your friendship @marevageorges1991 Thank you for sharing your extraordinary culture with me…….. #Tahiti #Mermaids #Girlfriends.”

Yolanda Foster married David on November 11, 2011, and just months later, she was diagnosed with Lyme disease, which admittedly impacted her marriage.

“The patient suffers, but the caretakers suffer too. Because life doesn’t only change for us, it changes for the person next to you,” Yolanda Foster explained to Dr. Oz on The Doctor Oz Show, via Us Weekly.

Yolanda Foster went on to reveal that it was she who changed, not her music producer husband, David.

“At the end of the day, David never changed, I changed,” she continued. “Unfortunately, these are the cards that life dealt me. It wasn’t by choice. But I’m not the woman I used to be and I probably will never be again. My focus, my energy goes to trying to get well, trying to make a difference, trying to find a cure for my children … and David’s life is really traveling, going to concerts, loud music. And I mean, I couldn’t, I can barely listen to the radio.”

During the sixth season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Yolanda Foster opened up about her Lyme disease, as well as the Lyme disease diagnosis of both Bella Hadid and Anwar Hadid, two of her three children with ex-husband Mohamed Hadid. Months later, she also address her children’s illnesses while speaking to Dr. Oz.

“It strikes the deepest chord of hopelessness inside of you,” Yolanda Foster said of learning that her children also had Lyme disease. “Because as a mommy, we’re fixers. We want to solve [our kids’] problems and give them a fair chance at a happy life. And at this moment, my hands are tied behind my back because I don’t have the answers. It’s heartbreaking. Because life is tough enough.”

Although Yolanda Foster hasn’t yet addressed her split from David on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, a sneak peek at the remaining episodes of the season revealed that her co-stars will eventually be seen reacting to news of the breakup.
